This tour is fantastic! The group is only 12 or less so you get personalized service. The guides also double as photographers and all your photos are included in the price. You are fitted for safety harnesses and then begin your trek through woods to an overlook where there are hippos and a guide who spends time talking about them.... More

This tour was by far the highlight of my vacation. You start by meeting your guides at the gate, and we had the most amazing guides. They were well informed and passionate about their jobs. They always went out of their way to point out animals and even remembered the favorite animals of certain tour goers. They always made sure... More

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge recently, and noticed an ad for the Wild Africa Trek, something that has been added since our last visit. The trek is led by two guides who take small groups (less than 12) on a behind the ride experience. It's about 3 hours long and animal caretakers join the group at different parts... More

The Africa Trek has always been on my list and it lived up to my expectations! We were met by our tour guides Joe and Kayle who were personable, engaging and able to answer our many questions about the animals. We started out walking through the Pagani Trail then off onto a forest trail to hang out over the hippos,... More

The easiest way to think of this tour is to imagine the Kilimanjaro Safaris on steroids and the tour can essentially be divided into three segments. The first and most exciting segment is getting outfitted with safety harnesses and taking a walking tour that includes traverrsing wooden planked suspension bridges. The 2nd segment is less exciting but informative as you... More

This was an amazing experience embedded in Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom Park. The Trek through the safari area takes place on foot, on a bridge over the hippos and crocs (you are in a VERY stable harness system the entire time) and in a land rover. Our guides, Jennifer and Kelly have degrees in animal behavior and studies and... More

Mom and I had alot of fun on this little expedition! Wild Africa Trek is inside the Animal Kingdom park in the back where the Savanna Safari ride is located. You check in about 15 minutes before your tour to fill out a some paperwork. Then you get fitted with a vest and repelling gear. There's no repelling involved. It's... More

If you're reading this, then you must be in the same situation I was in when deciding on whether or not this excursion was worth the $200 per person. After a much debated decision, my family finally chose to do it. The day went as follows: First, we woke up around 6 am to eat a quick breakfast, get ready,... More

Took my 17 year old daughter on this trek during our mother/daughter holiday vacation. It is pricey (and rates do increase during holiday season) but if you are going to splurge on anything during your trip to one of the Disney parks then this should be it!! You are greeted with first class service from the moment you arrive and... More
