I guess if you love the books and movies you will be thrilled to be here. I do not get the hype and the only thing that worked while we were there was the train ride. The whole Diagon Alley thing was nothing but shops, restaurants, wand stores and wand carts. Jaws was a far better attraction area than this... More

I took a week long vacation to finally visit a much-waited for Diagon Alley. I'd never visited the park before and so I had a complete Diagon Alley/Hogsmeade experience. The park is well done and if you do the park the right way, you'll have the time of your life. I experienced every ride more than once and never once... More

The forbidden journey & gringots ride were not suitable for my husband to ride as at a 46 inch waist he could not pull the safety bar down to lock himself in. This would have been insulting enough but he queued up for 35 minutes in blazing hot sun to be then pulled aside and told he was too big... More

Universal studios was a highlight of our trip for one ride and one ride only: harry potter and the forbidden journey. This is a simulated ride that takes you into the world of Harry potter. It took years to make and many visual affects pros from Hollywood were involved. Even for those not into Harry potter, this ride is glorious.

I went to Harry potter gringotts ride on 22/08/2014. I had to wait there for 4 hours in the queue. To be honest it's not worth the wait, the rides at the Hogsmead end are far better with hardly any queue time. I revisited on 29/8/14 and decided to try again only find the ride had broken down so on... More

Loved the theme, but hated the roads. I walked using a walker. It was murder. Too many cracks and broken stones.

We stayed offsite, so despite arriving before the park opening, others staying onsite were able to get in an hour earlier and the wait for Gringotts at 0900 was already 2 hours. My preschooler and I explored the area (including souvenir shopping and ice cream) while the other parent and kid went on the ride. (Note: some of the t-shirts... More

We just came back this week after visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. We enjoyed the movie. The setting they created at Universal is excellent however we felt too high priced and over-rated. We paid close to $150.00 a piece for a one day pass to Universal to view the Harry Potter set-up. We went to... More

as a massive harry potter fan, I believed it was almost impossible to live up to the books, but I was wrong. the first glimpse of the castle you get, is the tip of the turrets when you come into the park. the castle, while not lifesize, has wonderful detail and it houses a spectacular ride, harry potter and the... Now I have been to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for the past 2 decades or so, typically at least once every two years, sometimes more than twice in one year...its a family thing. I can honestly say that I have never been as immersed in a theme park experience as I was walking through Diagon Alley. It feels... More
