We attended Orlando Shakespeare's presentation of "Henry V" this March. It was EXCELLENT. The theater is small and intimate-the best kind of venue for Shakespeare. The costumes were traditional as was the staging, and all was excellently done. Tho Im not a huge fan of women taking men's roles in theater-and this rendition did a little of that-it was a... More

We saw Elephant Man. It was a very small theater and the actors and actresses did an amazing job. Friends of our gave us the tickets and I went kicking and screaming all the way. I had seen the production on Broadway years ago and from what I remembered it was depressing. These people were professional and could have easily... More

Clean, convenient location, we saw James and the giant peach. great show for all ages. best for under 10 years old. I am well over ten and I loved it however. We did the preview and it was at 10:15 on a Friday so we had the rest of the day to go play. The theatre was on the chilly... More

The theater is a nice size and the chairs are comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the play and felt the actors did a phenomenal job. We enjoyed it so much we will be going to the next signature series play in February. One advice if you want a drink or snack for intermission pre-order it before the show starts, the lines... More

We attended "A Christmas Carol"_on Christmas Eve. It was a wonderful performance with great actors! The second grader who played Tiny Tim, as well as additional roles, was absolutely adorable. We have attended other performances at this theater. We always go away happy and this time was no exception. The seats are a little narrow if you are overweight, but... More

We attend "The Shakes" often, and always enjoy the performances. The cast is talented and accomplished, the sets are creative, and the productions are top notch. We also enjoy the intimacy of the small theaters in which the audience is very close to the stage and often surrounded by the action and actors as they enter and exit - sometimes... More

This was my first time here. My wife and I have season tickets to the New Theatre in Kansas City and attend plays and musicals at a variety of other theatres. I loved this theatre. Small, intimate and well done. A Christmas Carol in a smaller venue is always a challenge. But they did it so well. They used the... More
