We attend "The Shakes" often, and always enjoy the performances. The cast is talented and accomplished, the sets are creative, and the productions are top notch. We also enjoy the intimacy of the small theaters in which the audience is very close to the stage and often surrounded by the action and actors as they enter and exit - sometimes... More

This was my first time here. My wife and I have season tickets to the New Theatre in Kansas City and attend plays and musicals at a variety of other theatres. I loved this theatre. Small, intimate and well done. A Christmas Carol in a smaller venue is always a challenge. But they did it so well. They used the... More

My husband and I went to the play "Best of Enemies". It was a wonderful one act play which was performed in an intimate theatre. The performance itself was powerful and the actors did a superb job. They made me want to learn more about the characters (the play is based on a true story). They drew you in to... More

Went to this venue to see Les Miserable and enjoyed it completely! There is not a bad seat in the house. Before the show and during intermission, you can purchase cocktails at a reasonable price. Parking was easy and there was no extra charge to park. Of course the cast was great and came out after the show to mingle... More

My husband loved it in here and there was something for everyone. Kits and loose bricks could be bought and the staff were friendly. We would go back.

Saw the production of Les Mis and it was absolutely outstanding. As usual, the actors are superb and gave it their all. The very long standing ovation was much deserved. The venue is excellent, both in location, good seats, great organization, great layout... and on and on. Just a superb experience all around.

Went to see les miserables with teenage don and husband. When I first saw the theatre I didn't know how they could perform such a big show. Wow! Was fantastic! Actors could be compared yo the best anywhere. Size of the theatre made it so not a bad seat in the house some probably felt like they were in the... More

I took my 2 year old to see Rapunzel. She loved it. The play was geared towards kids of all ages with audience participation and a shorter show time. The actors were so nice when they waited outside to meet each of the kids and take pictures with them or sign their programs. My little girl had such a great... More
