We visit Orlando every year over Christmas and then again for the waterparks in July. DOWNTOWN DISNEY MARKETPLACE is always a stop on the tour. It's a shopping/eatery extravaganza along a marina. I loved Downtown Disney, everything is perfect too get away from the thrills of the parks at Orlando. The Family and I went too the Gospel Choir Brunch, and where quite surprised by the modern Choir, and the Food is great! had a ball in dtd ...the kids loved it ..its a fab place loads to see and do ...the shops are great especially the christmas shop ...its got the usual mc donnells and los of other great resturants including planet hollywood...its great to just wander round at your ease takeing in all the sights... more

It may not be for everyone, but it suited us just fine. We spent every morning there before heading off to the parks, and our best dinner was at House of Blues.
