Living only an hour's drive away, I had been meaning to visit Leu Gardens for several years. I finally made it in July... well, we could have picked a cooler month! But despite the mid-summer heat and humidity, the lush gardens provided enough shade and places to rest that it was still a wonderful experience... one I will repeat in... More

This wasn't on any of the lists of things to do in Orlando - but it really should be. It's a stunning collection of plants - some you've seen, most you haven't, and some are just plain weird. There are themed areas - the white garden, the ideas garden, the tropical stream garden... There's a 'don't feed the alligator' area.... More

It would have been a fantastic visit in cooler weather. We went first thing in the morning and it was steamy by the time we left. There is one small indoor building to tour (and cool off in). On the plus side, we saw many unusual plants are were pleased to see an abundance of signage so we weren't always... More

After having the dissapoiment of driving 45 minutes to see a movie that was already sold out, my family decided to try the Harry Leu Gardens. I didn't know what to expect but I have to say that I was blown away of the beauty of this place. To say it have thousands of different plants, trees, roses, etc would... More

This is the type of garden I have been looking for in the Orlando area to visit. There is so much plant variety, and you will find much to please your plant palette! Very nice paved walkways, a few dirt, many lighted. Benches everywhere, trash receptacles where needed. The gardens are kept immaculate and are well laid out. This is... More

My wife is the garden enthusiast in the family, but I enjoyed our visit to the Leu Gardens. We visited when the camelias were starting to bloom, and the collection is quite impressive. The property covers a large area and we spent a couple of hours wandering through the paths. The rose garden is a highlight, although it was not... More

You would be amazed at what they can grow in the center of Orlando. The garden has improved since my last visit years ago.

The Leu Garden is a lovely way to spend an afternoon and an antidote to touristy Orlando. There are just over 3 miles of paths, the plants are signed, and the gardens are varied -- the white garden and butterfly gardens were favorites. The rose garden was being set for a wedding and despite the heat, it was obvious why... More

My sister, who lives in the Orlando area, was married at the Harry P. Leu Gardens in June 2014. My family comes from Missouri, and we all have some amateur gardening aptitude, so we have some familiarity with botanical gardens. Leu Gardens was beyond anything I could have anticipated or expected. As a Midwesterner, I have no experience with citrus... More
