Peaceful and beautiful is how I describe this great botanical garden. Went to Disney yesterday and this was a much less stressful day. Even the kids here were happy and laughing and not hot tired and crying like at Disney. Great lake with large turtles, fish and birds. Great house tour as well. Top it off with lunch down the... 50 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Winding pathways for you to wander. Tour the Leu House Museum, on the grounds. A knowledgeable guide will give you a tour and share the history of the home and gardens.

I am so glad I carved time away from the parks for this beautiful, peaceful, refreshing experience. The paths throughout the gardens are easy to navigate. At first the size of the gardens is overwhelming but you quickly realize that none of the paths is too long. There are benches along the way so you can rest or just pause... More

The Lieu Gardens are a sprwaling 49 acres with footpaths leading through various areas (tropical, Camillas, butterfly garden, etc). A nice place to unwind and stroll around for a couple of hours after the hectic attractions of Orlando. There is also a guided tour of the historic home on the property. We saw numerous turtles and birds at the lakeside,... More

We usually visit in the fall so thought a spring visit would be different - it was. the gardens are split into different sections so there is plenty to see, although we were a little late (end of March) for the best show of camelias - even so there were still plenty to see. One disappointing thing was the lack... More

These are terrific gardens and we had a lovely time exploring them. They are beautifully laid out and maintained with a rich variety of plants and are an oasis in a busy town. The guide showing us around the House was extremely interesting. The visit is a happy memory and we will certainly return next time we are in Orlando.

With all the noise, crowds and artificial environments of the major theme parks, it was a pleasant change to escape from the hectic tourist pace to a calm, quiet, environment to appreciate the original beauty of nature. Leu Gardens is just a few miles north of downtown Orlando. The $10 admission fee will get you several hours of solitude and... More

First time visit. Late March. Quite a few items in bloom. Very relaxing and we enjoyed it very much. A great break from the typical attraction. Great time for $10 a person.

In March there was not a lot in bloom. One expects a lush tropical place and indeed there was a wide variety of plants and trees, but it was somewhat overwhelming as we had expected more color. The tour of the house on the property is interesting, free, and worth doing.

We go to Leu Gardens once a year, when we come down to visit Orlando. It's a great place to see so many varieties of a Florida native plants and some that aren't in one place. Plantings of similar type are clumped together (palms, bamboo, citrus trees) making it easy to compare if you were considering planting at home. It... More
