So completely different to Theme Park day, so peaceful and tranquil its difficult to remember youre in the heart of Orlando. The gardens are well kept and the plants clearly marked. This year we followed the frog trail, which took us around all the garden in an ordered fashion, not just going from section to section randomly, so we probably... More

We loved these gardens and were so happy they were so close to the airport so we could see them on the day we left Orlando on a late flight. Plenty of trails and beautiful flowers and trees. Relaxing way to spend a day before heading home to hectic reality. The tour of the home on the property was especially good... More

A great family getaway or romantic retreat. Beautiful Gardens with something for everyone. Lots of amazing Palms and Cycads, Camelia's, and Orchid's. No matter what time of year you visit there is something different blooming. Their spring plant sale is a don't miss, just make sure you bring something to carry your loot. You can bring a picnic and enjoy... More

Beautiful site for strolling in lovely gardens. The site is over 50 acres of mostly gently sloping trails which are stroller or wheelchair-friendly. The $10 admission includes a 30-minute tour of the19th century home owned by the Leu family and others. The many plantings are labelled and inviting for birds and butterflies. A nice quiet alternative to the crowded theme... More

Be sure to give youselves sufficient time to go on the docent tour as well as follow the map through the property. Every type of crotan, plam, euphorbia, etc. was there! We were early for the rose gardens but just reading the names and types--David Austin, floribunda, tea, gradiflora and more.... I would come back ;just for that. I only... More

We enjoyed walking around the tropical gardens, and the tour of the house, built in the 1880's . The tour guide was knowledgeable and interesting. I would have liked the labels at the plants to be in larger print. There is lots to see, but no restaurant or snack bar. A very enjoyable few hours.

Easy to walk, lovely selection of diversely planted gardens and well placed sculptures. Gorgeous rose garden in season. Just bring insect repellent when needed seasonally.

Great place for a family visit or a romantic stroll. The gardens carry so many varieties of plants. The fragrance is awesome throughout, especially the exquisite rose garden. For locals, they offer Friday night outdoor movies, as n wonderful classic like gardening, cooking, and photography. I love this place

we visited the gardens on short notice, after our flight was cancelled and we needed somewhere to relax for the rest of the day. The gardens are quite stunning. The property is nestled in the city - our cabbie had no idea where he was taking us and was amazed to learn it existed when he dropped us off. We... More

Many thanks to the Leu Gardens' volunteer staff for presenting a knowledgeable and entertaining tour of the Leu home and all of its interesting residents. The Leu home is an antebellum estate that hosted many interesting characters, a silent movie star, a unsolved murder, and beautiful gardens. The estate is in excellent condition and well worth a visit for any... More
