"Disney's BoardWalk area contains more than 90,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. It encompasses Crescent Lake and is ""a village on the water"" near many Disney Resort hotels in Walt Disney World Resort. This quarter-mile entertainment, dining and shopping area is also conveniently close to 2 Disney Theme Parks. With sherbet-colored building facades, striped awnings, rising columns and archways, Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along such coastal cities as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.Stroll along Disney's BoardWalk during the day to explore the unusual shops and restaurants. When the sun cools down, the nightlife heats up with street performers, food vendors, midway games and lots of live entertainment.

We came here in the morning to do the free tour that is offered to Disney Resort Guests. I highly recommend the tour - our 9 year old and 12 year old liked as much as we did. David, our tour guide, was excellent! Then we rented the 2 bench Surrey bike for half an hour (all 4 of us... More

The boardwalk is a different kind of Disney experience in that it's free to park and walk quietly by the lake. There are a number of souvenir shops and reasonable dining lining the boardwalk. Street entertainers catering to young children juggle and perform magic tricks. The walk was uncrowded during our weeknight visit.

All types of disney souvenirs. Everything that you can imagine. If you have time I would go there before going to the theme park. I love my family to wear matching shirts for pictures. I was able to buy matching shirts for each day to be able to wear at Walt Disney, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

The Boardwalk is a great way to wind down after an evening in Epcot. We like to wander over just after or even during Illuminations, as you can still hear the music and see the fireworks from the bridge to Boardwalk. A leisurely walk along the Boardwalk with the music playing and performers doing their tricks makes a nice wind-down... More

This was for me a part of Disney I could have missed. I enjoyed the parks much more. Lots of places to eat and drink here and shops but for me if you're time is limited, stick to the parks

Disney's Boardwalk is cute, it's not a shopping experience like Downtown Disney, it's a cute New York/New Jersey 1920's style boardwalk around the lake, with standard Disney shops (and a bit more, and some decent restaurants). Typical great Disney use of unused land, to make it into something pretty, and nice. You can walk to Hollywood Studios, but it's a... More

The Disney World Resorts offer great authentic experiences and this Boardwalk is just one of many wonderful places to explore. The recreation of other places from the USA and around the world with the themes at Disney World makes walking down these boulevards a pleasure. Another lovely place to wander and breathe and relax.
