It encompasses Crescent Lake and is ""a village on the water"" near many Disney Resort hotels in Walt Disney World Resort. This quarter-mile entertainment, dining and shopping area is also conveniently close to 2 Disney Theme Parks. With sherbet-colored building facades, striped awnings, rising columns and archways, Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along such coastal cities as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.Stroll along Disney's BoardWalk during the day to explore the unusual shops and restaurants. Great places to eat and shop. Quiet. Resembles the boardwalks along the Jersey shore. Was a great place to relax and walk.

I loved the little shops! Fantastic places to eat also. ESPN was both entertainment and a meal! Wonderful touch to the area and gave us something fun to do during slow times at convention.

We love Disney's boardwalk There's great shopping, fun impromptu shows and dancing opportunities at night, lots of food choices. Be sure to hop on the water taxi and take it from place to place. Enjoy great eats and some shopping. It's totally free to roam around. Sneaky tip: You can get beer from the Hess station right across the street... More

Area is currently under construction & quite crowded. Nice area to take a walk. Food is pricey so we ate before our visit.

A combination fo Disney theme parks and a 1950's resort. Wouldn't change a thing. Was waiting for a scene from dirty dancing to break out in the middle of the boardwalk.

Adults and children enjoyed the boardwalk. Being from Ireland we were amused to see the "Irish section". Kids loved the Lego shop and the left handed stall :-) We ate in Planet Hollywood which was fun. A lot of renovations going on but still an enjoyable experience.

Disney's Boardwalk is one of my favorite Disney places. No parking or entrance fees. It has more of a sophisticated feel especially in the evenings; think 1920's Atlantic City. However, still family friendly with some fun activities. In the evening the boardwalk lights up & the street performers provide some good entertainment. There is also shopping & restaurants at the... The boardwalk is enjoyable to walk and it is fun to see all the people and the life on the boardwalk. The restaurants are a bit "touristy" and overpriced, also some of the stores. The Lego store was the most fun part and it is a must see for anyone who is a Lego fan or travelling with children.

Disney are currently redeveloping the area so it has lost the atmosphere as you can imagine. Prices are high as you would expect from this. Parking is a problem due to building work. When completed it should be great.
