"Disney's BoardWalk area contains more than 90,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. It encompasses Crescent Lake and is ""a village on the water"" near many Disney Resort hotels in Walt Disney World Resort. This quarter-mile entertainment, dining and shopping area is also conveniently close to 2 Disney Theme Parks. With sherbet-colored building facades, striped awnings, rising columns and archways, Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along such coastal cities as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.Stroll along Disney's BoardWalk during the day to explore the unusual shops and restaurants. When the sun cools down, the nightlife heats up with street performers, food vendors, midway games and lots of live entertainment.

when we first got there it looked different, interesting shops with over priced Disney items for sale. A lot of thought and planning had obviously gone into the construction of the site, at a glimpse it looked interesting. Then after a few hours walking round it lost its appeal, they all looked similar, most of them sold the same disney... More

They only had about 30% of the stores open. Don't waste your time until it is finished. The road construction will also slow down your commute to the Disney parks if you go this way.

Boardwalk comes alive at night and looks fantastic. If you walk the whole circuit towards The Yacht Club parts of it are very peaceful and serene and you feel very relaxed and out of the way. On the main street there is plenty to do with lots of lovely eateries. If you're there around Illuminations you can get an amazing... More

Anything with a Disney label is charming . . . and usually very expensive. But a stroll on Disney's Boardwalk is totally free except for what you choose to buy for consumption. And not too expensive: Pizza slice $5, hotdog $5, Margarita $8, but plain water $2.50 YIKE! Good place to view fireworks every 9pm. Go!

Disney is one of my family's favorite destinations. I have personally been there over 20 times. We have stayed at many of the hotels on property (the only way to go as far as we are concerned) and by far the Boardwalk is our favorite. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. We especially love... More

My mom and I had lunch and a stroll on the boardwalk recently. It's a charming place to spend some time. We saw a wedding at the pavillion, which was a fun bonus!

After the morning out we decided to spend the afternoon at boardwalk. When you arrive at the car park don't be alarmed to see a guard, just say you're visiting for the afternoon and they let you in happily. We hired a 2 person bike (they have bigger ones available for families) and enjoyed a slow pedal around the lake.... More

I love spending the evening at Disney's Boardwalk. This last visit we had pizza and watch a movie under the stars. There are different professional performers all along the boardwalk throughout the evening.

We stopped by there last night after enjoying a great meal at Le Cellier, the outstanding steakhouse located in the Canadian pavilion at Epcot. The atmosphere was awesome as the weather was perfect and the company even better. Walking around the lake with the great views of the restaurants and shops was pretty cool. This is a great place to... More

We live in New Jersey shore area..so we are sort of experts on a Boardwalk set-up..once again, Disney did their homework. First, it's a great FREE AREA to just walk and lounge in the sun and watch the boats and water...there are great restaurants and shops here too-- but our favorite part was the convenience to the hotels. We stayed... More
