We took this boat trip on a Saturday afternoon. We were happy we made reservations in the beginning of the week as the tour did fill up. The seats are comfortable and seat three. There is a canopy overhead so you're not in the sun. The ride is two hours and winds through different smaller creeks as well as the... More

We had a very good tour boat operator. She was knowledgeable and very accommodating. If someone saw an alligator or bird and someone else didn't she would back up the boat so everyone got a chance to see. The wind came up and it got cool so they passed out blankets. It was a little over 2 hours and cost... More

We were at Blue Springs over night in mid-January. We were there mainly to see the manatees but also took the St. John River Cruise and so glad we did! i had a page from a guide of wading shorebirds of the southeast and we saw all but two. Also saw a few gators and the interesting cypress swamps. Our... More

Located in Blue Springs State Park is a pontoon river cruise down the St. John's River that will thrill the entire family! Don't worry, you're very safe as your guide informs you of the flora and fauna of the ecosystem surrounding you. The tour is delivered in a friendly and funny anecdotal manner and questions are encouraged. We saw a... More

We took the afternoon boat ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our captain was knowledgeable, although he did repeat his stories. We saw so many birds. It's hard for me to imagine anyone thought it was boring.

Unbelievably boring. If you are excited by seeing 5 or 6 different birds over and over again for two hours then this is the trip for you. There was so little to see that the captain was pointing out 'interesting' trash washed up on the bank. One highlight was a jam jar full of brown water that was passed around... More

God it was boring no more to be said, if you want to waste time go for it. Walkoola boat trip is much better and more interesting. I don't want to be pointed out ice cooler boxes and sunk safes and fallen trees in the river. And the captain repeated himself constantly.

Staying with family locally, we booked this as a morning cruise. Lovely park, good facilities and friendly staff. Spent a lovely morning cruising gently along the river looking at what wildlife we could spot. Very interesting guide, pointing out birds etc. Sadly not a lot to see - just one of those things, you can't arrange for wildlife to pop... More

Took this tour out of Blue Spring State Park. Very knowledgeable guide. Saw lots of birds and several alligators. Pontoon boat was spacious and quiet. Nice way to spend a morning.

The two-hour pontoon trip up the St. Johns River is fantastic. Our captain was knowledgeable about the river, it's history, the flora, and the fauna. He pointed out dozens of birds of multiple species. We saw no less than a dozen alligators with at least one 14-footer. Whenever we passed a bird, gator or turtle he didn't want us to... More
