I think this is the best place in Ocala National Forest. Very nice springs, but very cold!! There is a short but good trail behind the pool that allow you to reach the bubbles!! Wonderful!

I am an outdoor enthusiast and had a great time here. All of Ocala's outdoor recreation places are great.

This place is small, peaceful and beautiful. If you walk quietly on the trail you will be rewarded with more animal sightings. Near the end we were enchanted by an otter that contentedly swam and play in our view for probably twenty minutes or so. Bubbling springs at the end are really wonderful to see and you can camp nearby... More

Is a nice spring, a little too cloudy but good enjoyment. After you jumped the 3 ft ledge a couple of timesyou should take the trail by the big wheel. Is a short trail ( 1 mile ) but the reward is at the end.

This is one of our favorite spring experiences. I first went in the 70s and couldn't wait to introduce my daughter to it. We like to go early in the morning before it fills up with folks. It was remodeled a few years ago to give it a nice respite/facility area and re-surfaced around the swimming hole. The Jumping Ledge... More

My son and I tent camped here over the Christmas holiday. The loop campgrounds are well laid out, and have nice privacy for the most part. Grills and extruded wire picnic tables are provided and are in good repair. Campsite had been raked prior to our arrival. The entire campground is well maintained...bathrooms are spotless, and the showers are clean... More

Juniper Springs is a favorite picnic spot, although there are campsites available for longer stays. The Mill House has a display about the area, and a giant water wheel! The springs are a refreshing 72 degrees year round, and the swimming area is near the picnic grounds, with benches around the edges also. There is a nice changing area/restroom, and... More

In late August I hiked through the Juniper Prairie wilderness. I parked my car overnight at Silver Glen Springs for $10, then walked west on the new Yearling Trail until it met up with the Florida Trail, then hiked south on the Florida Trail all the way to Juniper Springs. I spent the night about two hours' walk from Juniper... More
