From the cool water to the great trails Juniper has everything you need for a hot afternoon. And the campsites are some of the best in Florida (and I have visited a lot of them!)

Today my family and I took a kayak trip in Juniper Run. I was very surprised the workers expected us to each load our kayaks on a cart, haul the kayaks to the river, take the cart back to the top and then they would reward us with a life jacket, whistle, and a paddle. The kayaking was very technical... More

This was the best Florida kayak / Canoe run I have ever done! It is beautiful and well taken care of. The staff was very diligent in taking care of and informing the visitors of the run. I am most definitely going to be visiting again.

This is a clear, narrow creek that requires some skill to maneuver. I would strongly recommend single kayaks instead of a canoe. It's about a 3 hour relaxed downstream paddle with shuttle service available in the park.

By the Wilderness I think they mean Juniper Springs. So so as far as springs go. Bottom of my list. As far as Juniper Run goes, I despise it. Narrow. Water isn't clear. Vegetation inhibits being able to see anything. I will NEVER go down it again.

Very popular area. Great swimming in clear water. My only complaint is that I've been to parks with a more knowledgeable and helpful staff. They don't have forest rangers, just regular people who don't know anything about wildlife. I was on the trail with my toddler and came close to a thick moccasin and they didn't do anything. I am... The canoe / kayak run is one of, if not the best in Florida and actually in the top 25 in America. The springs are beautifully, and nature abounds!

We visited during a busy time of year and yet it was still a great place to spend time, walk around and enjoy a refreshing swim. The charm of the construction of the pool walls by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s adds a special touch to this beautiful natural wonder in this semi-tropical paradise. My biggest suggestion would... More
