Silver Springs National Park

Natural wonder that is well interpreted by glass bottom boat Captain Earl as well as museum staff. However, a rather sedate 90 minute boat tour sans catfish show these days.

We went there three times this winter, glass bottom boat tour is great, we both loved it. Second time we rented a canoe,it was so relaxing we bought a canoe and came back a third. You can see all kinds of fish and turtles the water is so clear. We also seen 3 gators... Will be coming back in fall..... More

Managed to reserve a spot in the campground for four nights on our way back home to the Northwest. We arrived on a Sunday. At check in we were told the museum is open only on weekends until 5 pm. Closed during the week, used as a school. We found our site. Huge pull through. Very pleased. Water and electric.... More

We had no idea about this place until one day, on our way back to Tampa, we stumbled upon it. What an amazing surprise!!! The state goverment took over this place about 6 months ago, from what we were told, and it is now only $8 per vehicle open to all. the spring is one of the best, if not... More

We mostly went for the glass bottom boat ride which is very scenic, informative and a really nice ride. The views and nature are peaceful and worth the ride and also taking a nice long walk around the park. You can have lunch and/or ice cream or fudge and just sit and enjoy your surroundings. They also have concerts during... More

My wife and I have taken both the 30 minute boat tour and the 90 minute boat tour at Silver Springs State Park. It has never been crowded and acquiring tickets is not a problem. We recommend the 90 minute tour, which costs a little more, but you get so much more for your money. If you are a senior... More

Beautiful River what Florida use to be like. Spring feed water and often alligators are spotted. Wild monkeys also live along the River.

We went at 4:30 on st. Patrick's Day so it was mostly empty. No one hardly around. Glass Bottom boat tour was really neat. Guy who did the tour was boring and seemed like he didn't want to be there. Wish we would've had someone more excited. Fudge after boat in shops was good. Yum! Yum!

I've been to many of the state parks in Florida. Silver Springs has a lot of history as it is a state park that took over a historic tourist location. The state park side is full of trails and a great place to camp. They have replica village that was really neat. It's $8 per vehicle to get into the... More

If you are looking for a relaxing day out Silver Springs is definitely one way to enjoy it. Glass bottom boat rides in the spring and some history to boot. I have been here several times and will go back again!
