In the past we have taken the shorter glass bottom boat ride but this time we kayaked with Discovery Tours. Overall we had a pleasant visit. The facilities at the park look like time stopped in the 1950's, it's not run down it just looks like you stepped back in time. If you enjoy nature and more simple things then... More

I spent the afternoon with my family in the springs. What a beautiful and peaceful place. They were very organized and their hospitality excelled. Everything you can think of was thought of for their visitors. Absolutely amazing!

We've been to Silver Springs River several times. My family loved to canoe this beautiful river and see the fish swimming in the crystal clear water.

Actually the Silver River is heartbreaking. Twenty years ago it was spectacular and beautiful. The water was crystal clear and abundant with fish. It is still nice, but nothing like it used to be. If canoeing or kayaking I would avoid weekends. Too many boaters abuse no wake rule. Early mornings are best for wildlife photography.

Silver River is the most beautiful place in Marion County. It's a great place to kayak. You can see lots of alligators, turtles and monkey. It's so peaceful and beautiful. You can kayak all the way to the main spring just watch out for the glass bottom boats. You can launch from Silver River State park or Ray's Wayside (... More

Quiet and peaceful. A ride on the river is so relaxing and informative. We went with friends and all had an enjoyable time.

A great spring run to canoe up and float down. Put in and paddle up stream from under the big bridge on Hwy. 40 west of Silver Springs, paddle up into the head springs and float back Incredibly clear water - lazy days. If we could just get the powers that be to quit drawing down the water tables

Lovely place, quite a bit to do. Strongly suggest taking the glass bottom boat tour, it was great. We did the 90 minute tour which I believe it is only available on weekends and they only have two of these each day. 30 minute tours leave every 30 minutes. Pretty well maintained.
