I had not been here for 40 years & the boat ride & springs have not changed. However, the property around it has suffered due to age and neglect. We were so happy to find the state had taken over and reopened it.Eat before you go as the food in the concession stand is expensive & nasty ! Had a $6.00 "dogfood" burger... More

We kayak there almost every month. Very peaceful and always enjoy seeing the life above and below the water. If you come, please respect the area so this treasure will last for others.

Every aspect of Silver Springs is beautiful. Swim, boat or simply enjoy nature. The glass bottom boat is still a thrill.

We went for four days but had reserved seven. Unfortunately, life happens. Darn those bumper stickers! Anyway, this was our second trip to this SP. The first time it was known as Silver River SP. It is has been rebadged to Silver Springs SP. A park by any other name... It is still one of the best parks in Florida.... More

We enjoyed the scenic landscape, a boat ride on a glass bottom boat, some amazing views! Lots of wildlife: alligator, monkeys.

Silver Springs has been attraction in northern Florida forever. It still has glass-bottom boats that take interested passengers over gin-clear waters. The tour-guides have mostly been there forever and know the routine by heart. It's rather camp but pleasant and enjoyable all the way. It ain't Disney World - makes it kind of nice.

We went on our last full day in Florida and it was worth it. Formerly a tourist/amusement park it is now owned by the state. They are making upgrades to the existing buildings and grounds. The home of the glass bottom boats ! There are 850 MILLION gallons of fresh water pumped in by underground springs every day. Historical and... More

We hiked at silver springs state park. It was a nice clean and friendly place with plenty of trails. They ranged up to several miles. we walked 3 trails and got in 6 miles. The river looked very nice, the trails are good walking and we seen a lot of local wildlife. Like deer, squirrels, birds and fish.
