This is one of those "must see" attractions in North Fort Myers that I visited several times as a kid to bring home a trinket to remember my Florida vacation. Making a return visit many years later, I felt there are interesting shells to look at, but all in all it's kitschy and not in a cool way. I did... More

I love this place! They have so many shells at such great prices...you'll feel like a kid in a candy shop!! A resturanr is available for the hungries and live animals can be seen by the kids. A great place to go if you just haven't found the right shell treasure on Sanibel.

We have been to the Shell Factory repeated times and found the Nature Park to be well worth the cost of the tickets. Our kids love feeding the animals and have great fun seeing all the different birds, exotics and 4-footed animals. The lake area offers fish feeding and bumper boat rides, as well as duck feeding and just plain... More

What a lot you can do at the shell factory... Try the small zoo with interesting animals, especially the walk through aviary with a beautiful peacock and sleepy lizards.... And the crazy golf with it's demanding holes. Lunch nearby and you must not miss the huge shop which shows shells from all over the world as well as inexpensive gifts... More

This place should be closed ! Conditions for the Animals are horrid! Filthy place! Not any better for the humans. And the interesting thing is I just drove through the parking lot to go another function. Want to make a trip there CALL THE ASPCA FIRST

Whether you enjoy animals, feeding the fish or turtles, shopping at the exotic Christmas store, or nautical store, you will enjoy this. Also, there is a restaurant on site pretty good food. On several days of the week, there is a flea market and sometimes a specialty event. Nice place to experience for all ages.

Great place to spend a day with your family. Visit the zoo, play min golf, ride the bumper boats, new zip line. Just to name a few. Food is very good. We had our company party at the Shell Factory and very thing they did for our group was out standing. Go a for a short time or all day.... More

The beaches in the area have a good supply of shells however if you want variety and excellent specimens this is the place to go. Prices are reasonable. There is also a lot to see and do here.

Between the zoo, restaurants, shell collections, zip ride, it is something for the whole family. The amin building is filled with seashells and different rooms with different collection. It even has a Christmas display all year round.
