Owned and operated by Captain John Houston, the focus of each tour is to educate, inform and have fun in and around the waters of Pine Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. We went kayaking with Dawn on this trip. It was the highlight of our trip for my husband and I, and my 2 teenaged sons enjoyed themselves as well. We were supposed to be on a 2 hr. trip, but it lasted at least 3 hrs.! We saw many different types of birds, crabs, shark, dolphin and many manatees! The... More

We did this tour a few times while on the island and learned something new every time! The tour guides are naturalists and have a passion for the area and the wildlife. We tried another company as well and didn't have near the fun. Adventure Sea Kayak rocks!!

My family and I decided to spend our last morning of vacation with Adventure Sea Kayak.I've done many tours on vacations and this is in the top 5!!!!!!!!! Our guide Bob was so friendly yet not too chatty. Very relaxed, offered to keep our keys, purses, at the office site with Matt the other guide. When I asked do we... More

I was taken out fishing for a couple of hours and practically the whole entire time I was catching fish and having a great time! All of the staff were super nice and fun to talk to and they made the experience more enjoyable. They had paddle boards which were fun to take out and pointed me out to a... More

Any vacation we plan will include kayaking. However, transporting personal kayaks is not always a possibility. It's always nice to rent gear from a service and not be treated like an idiot. The staff was friendly and helpful but after a few questions they allowed us to proceed with our rental without forcing us to sit through a half hour... More

Bob took us out one morning a couple of weeks ago and it was a great trip. The Buck Key tour is a great way to see Captiva, Pine Island Bay, and it's wildlife. I have gone out with them before and it always is a good experience. Bob gave us a history lesson of the area and even took... More

Our Adventure started with training from the staff on how to operate a kayak! They did a great job! We had 15 in our group and they divided the 6 children who had their own "kayak school" and the 9 adults who also had their own instructing. Because our group was so large we had 2 guides who talked about... More

We chartered a group trip and found the two guides to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The boats are in great condition, the location is easy to access with ample parking and a great spot on the water for both easier paddling around the shielded bay and easy access to the larger sound area. They also provide fantastic instruction before... More

We went on a kayaking tour with Dawn and she was full of great information. The kayaks were comfy and easy to use and she went at a great pace. Travelling through the mangrove tunnel was so beautiful. We saw manatees, ibis, little green heron, oysters, lightning whelks and about a million crabs. Plus a little snake swimming in the... More

We enjoyed a few hours kayaking. We saw lots of birds, learned about jumping mullets, and saw lots of manatees! Our guide made sure we knew how to kayak and he even found me an empty welk shell! I learned a lot and would do it again!
