Stop by and see this quirky cemetery behind the chapel. There are some original Captiva natives buried here from a looong time ago.

They have chapel on every Sunday certain months. I think it would have been nice to go to one of the services but maybe next time:) The cemetery and chapel are kept up really nice and clean.

Love seeing the old pictures of this place on several Sanibel FB sites. Small parking lot and little hard to find, but nice area overall.

I stop here on every visit to Captiva. It is a quaint chapel . It is warm and inviting. A sweet place of solitude and open during the day to come in and reflect.

Didn't go for church or services, but to see a bit of Captiva history. Fully delivered. A quiet glade a block off the main drag. Beautiful chapel, and charming (?) special cemetery which was hauntingly beautiful and meaningful.

We stopped to see this adorable little chapel during the daytime and then also one evening. At night, the Christmas lights were beautiful hanging in the trees. I would love to attend a service here on one of our trips to Captiva.

We attend the Chapel-by-the-sea, and always look forward to the Sunday service. Services are held from the first Sunday in November through April. For the regulars, a number of people prefer to sit inside the tiny chapel, and then there are as many or more of us that like to sit outside, enjoying the beauty of the trees, flowers, birds,... What a beautiful service for Christmas Morning! Songs, stories and prayer. I am a Catholic and although this was non-denominational, it totally portrayed what the meaning of Christmas is.

Loved the former pastor and wife as they reached out to community. They generously support local charities in SW Florida. Christmas eve is really special
