Be sure to stop by the graveyard, very cool to see how decorated they are and the neat shell displays.

Rode our bikes there only to find out it is open just a few months of the year. Nothing to see when it's closed and therefore the low rating from me.

Interesting little area to walk thru, right along the Gulf of Mexico The graves are of old settlers in the area. (It's a pretty remote island, via Sanibel) We still have an old coconut with shells glued to it that looks like an animal that we bought from some one in that little area, We used the parking area to... I absolutely love this chapel. We have a family friend who is burried here and I make the effort to stop by each time I come to the island. It is so peaceful, people visit, leave and decorate with shells, it's wonderful to reflect and connect with loved ones from past and present. I wouldn't mind ended up sea side... More

Neat place to stop that doesn't take very long. Worth the walk around the church area and historic cemetery.

A nice little stop where you can walk around the old beach cemetery and view the sweet chapel. It was not open to go inside, but has some written postings to read.

I'm glad I saw the sign for the Chapel and we stopped. It is small but very historic. It was there at least in the 1950's when I spent vacations there as a child.

A little white church by the sea. A special part of old Captiva . Either visit during the week or attend the services on Sunday at11 On Easter Sunday the chuch is so popular that folding chairs are set up under the pines and palms. Take advantage of the real Captiva, you won't be sorry.

The Chapel was very close to the water (Gulf of Mexico). I was immediately impressed with the tranquility of the grounds and entrance and felt it would be easy to connect with God and with my inner self.

I love visiting this island treasure. The well cared for chapel and cemetery are peaceful places to visit. I make sure to include at least one visit each time we are here.
