Went to church on Sunday and the people and pastor were great. The pastor gave a great sermon and it was just sooo beautiful there as well.

A beautiful and quiet place of worship. We came on a cool night in December so we were there all by ourselves. The Chapel was decorated nicely for Christmas and the outdoors lit up beautifully. The only sounds were from our kids exploring the grounds and the ocean just over the sand dune. a very calming and tranquil stop on... More

I like to visit the Chapel during the day - find it very calming. But the best is the Christmas Eve service at 6:30 pm. The lights are enchanting and there is nothing like singing Christmas carols while hearing waves crashing on the beach in the background.

Our first visit to the chapel was at daylight and we met the friendly pastor who recommended us to come back when it's dark. So we did and it was absolutely stunning. We also decided to join the Christmas eve celebration and it was the most beautiful worship I have ever witnessed. Beware of the mosquitoes, though! Bring repellent!

We stopped in to say a prayer on Christmas night. The chapel was just what you would imagine it to be; quaint, charming, and a place for reflection. It is a great place for a traveler to stop and say thanks for all of life's gifts.

My wife and I happened to be in the area the night they had Christmas Carols. What a nice event and the decorations gave me goose bumps. Very nice place.

Lovely chapel by the sea. So sweet and worth the stop if you are in Captiva. Interesting history to this little place and the graveyard close by.

Tucked away on Captiva is the historic and charming Chapel By-the- Sea. Nothing fancy here and that is the point....just stop by and enjoy the serenity for a few minutes and then walk out to the beach, which is right there....can you just feel yourself relaxing?

We walked to this from our room. It was not open but was a nice building. The location is quiet and basic. I don't know how old the place is. I imagine it would be nice to attend a service here. Maybe like the island, a melting pot of interesting folk. Worth a stop to look.
