This is a good time...leave the kids at home...it's for the adults

I've gone to this "spectacle" many times over the years. It's a real hoot! Let's face it folks, after 9pm there isn't a whole lot to do on Captiva/Sanibel Island, what are you... read more

What GREAT fun!! We were in attendance with two of our friends last Monday for the 9:00 pm "show". There are two shows each Monday and Thursday: The 7 pm show is family / kid friendly. The 9 pm show is for adults only - must be 21 or older to attend. The cost to participate is $5 per crab.... More

This was such a fun event.. we went to the family-friendly time and would love to go to a future one during the adults only time. The guy in charge was super fun and it was fun for all ages. The food at Tween Waters Inn wasn't very good... I wish we could have just eaten somewhere else and still... More

Honestly half the fun is watching the master of ceremonies getting various reactions out of people. You have to be an expert to hurl back and equally scathing gibe but it's fun to try. It's a good natured show and half the money goes charity. The recommended attire is thick skin.

The guy was "TOO RUDE" and he threw the hermit crabs around like rocks. He was not a funny rude..he was obscene. I was disgusted. This person could show more respect in front of children and older folks. Boo..They have a fun idea and the money goes to charity..suppose to any way, I won't trust the guy..to bad there was... First time at NASCRAB. Would do it again and this time get a front row seat. A lot of fun. Only downside is it took way to long to go through all the races. Nice gesture that 1/2 the proceeds go to United Way!

This is an event you don't want to miss. I don't think I every laughed so hard in my life, and to top that, my crab came in second. Also is a great opportunity to donate monies to United Way. He has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to them from the proceeds of the crab races.

After checking online including reading reviews that said the later show was fine for older teens and calling the Tween Waters on Tuesday to confirm the time and saying we were bringing our family, we showed up with an 18 and a 20 year old Thursday night. We told the polite hostess we were there for the races and she... More

We went to the adult show at 9:00 and it was silly, stupid, and lots of fun. The crowd was really into it and half of the proceeds went to United Way!

Thanks, Tim. We enjoy your show very much each time we stay at Tween Waters. Keep up the good work for the United Way.

I've gone to this "spectacle" many times over the years. It's a real hoot! Let's face it folks, after 9pm there isn't a whole lot to do on Captiva/Sanibel Island, what are you gonna do go back to your hotel and watch TV? This is a fun little event. Some people have complained about it not being kid friendly...I guess... More
