The wildlife sunset trip was basically a boat ride with a few minute narration. Saw a few Dolphins nothing spectacular, crew appeared distracted and bored. Mediocre at best. Would not recommend this trip at all

On April 3, 2014, two of my children and I took the Dolphin Cruise. It was superb. The scenery was beautiful and the dolphins cooperated by riding right along side our boat for most the ride. Because of the Docent's vast knowledge, we learned a lot about the local history of the waterway. I highly recommend any of the Captiva... More

Loved being on the water, although it was foggy we weren't able to see much but we did end up with two dolphin "leading" the boat for quite a while - what a sight!

If you have not taken the santiva boat trip to tarpon inn on pine land island and had lunch and a guided tour of the Randall research center you are missing an amazing history lesson, wonderful lunch and beautiful boat ride. On trip home the captain and first mate trolled with a net and showed us the amazing sea life... More

Loved the captain, mate and Stephanie, our naturalist. The catamaran was very very spacious and well appointed (I've never seen such an immaculate Bathroom aboard a ship). North Captiva lends itself to learning about creatures in the bay (we saw live shells, starfish, grasses, horseshoe crabs, manatee, dolphins, etc.) and to exploring the beaches on the gulf side (long worm shells, lots... We took the catamaran out of South Seas Plantation for the sunset cruise. Nice sunset and saw lots of dolphins. The craft was very clean and comfortable. First wine was free. White wine only, as red wine on a boat is asking for trouble, as boaters, we know this. Crew was very nice, there was a head on board. We... More

I have done all three cruises over the years and they just get better and better. Take every newbie that visits to either Useppa or Cabbage Key. The dolphin cruise is great for kids Lunch at the Collier Inn is pricey and not really all that good. (4 visits)

Had a great time. Went to Cabbage Key. Ate at restaurant that inspired Jimmy Buffet to write "Cheeseburger in Paradise". 80,000 one dollar bills on walls and ceilings. Gorgeous scenery an d many photo ops. Saw Osprey, Pelicans, Dolphins and Manatees.

Captiva Cruises is a great watt to see the inter coastal water way and the backside of the barrier islands of SW Florida. We take friends on the Useppa Island and Cabbage Key trips when they come to visit. They operate two different size boats; the larger being 148 passengers and the smaller, 50. Each has its pluses. The larger... More

We were very happy with this trip and super surprised at all that we saw and did on this cruise. We have taken many cruises with this company and have found each of them very unique. The Tarpon Lodge is different but we loved it. From the very beginning the staff were friendly and very helpful showing us a close... More
