We had reservations for a shelling cruise with Pam. We were very excited, but Mother Nature had different plans. The Captiva Cruise staff was very professional. They offered us a cruise at a later time slot and sadly, the rain just kept coming down. Due to our time, we were unable to book for another day, but it will be... More

This cruise was the highlight of our trip to Captiva last weekend. The boat ran smoothly and had plenty of shade and places to sit. Sodas, beer, and wine were available for purchase. This was nothing fancy. Pretty much a ride straight out to the island and back. At the island we had about 2.5 hours to shell, snorkel and... More

My family and I took the afternoon (1 pm to 4 pm) cruise to the Cayo Costa State Park in Boca Grande, FL. My family is pretty diverse is interests when it comes to beach-going. I'm not much for swimming...I like shell hunting and snorkeling, whereas my husband and mother in law like to swim. My six year old son... More

Took my daughter and her family on a half day shelling cruise and we all had an amazing time! Staff was personable and happy to assist with whatever was needed. Made sure to find dolphins so we could all watch their "show" and get pictures! Really a worthwhile organization. No need to spend big bucks for a private tour....this is... More

We loved our trip to Cayo Costa State Park Islands. The crew provided a great boat tour and the dolphins are always so playful jumping through the waves. Once we arrived at one of the small islands, the shelling was great, and the water was crystal clear. Remember to pack some water, because there are no facilities. It is just... More

If you want to spend a day sailing to an island and learning about marine life and shelling on a beach, I highly recommend this cruise. Lunch and drinks are provided and the crew is great. An expert in shells and marine life from the shell museum on Sanibel takes you on a tour of the shallows to point out... More

We chose Captive Cruise line because we found a coupon in a local magazine. I am so glad we went with this company. We showed up without a reservation. The lady inside greeted us with a smile and made us feel so welcome. We boarded the boat and the captain and his helper were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable about... More

We enjoyed a lovely sunset cruise. A short ways out from the harbor, two dolphins joined us for a brief while and swam alongside the boat. I've never been this close to dolphins in the wild. Very exciting. We cruised around a couple of small islands (I think one was North Captiva, another Pine Island?) and enjoyed a bit of... More

This cruise was one of the best things we did while visiting Sanibel- Captiva Island for the first time. They give clear directions to get to the South Seas Plantation where the cruise departs. There were manatees at the marina, so that made waiting for the embarkation fun. We were on a double decked boat with tables and chairs. They... More
