Went on the Captiva Cruises for the Dolphin Watch and had a good time. The boat was a little old but it was overall nice. The staff was friendly and we did get to see dolphins. I was hoping to stay a little longer and see some more, we saw about 5 but we had to head back in. Overall,... More

I've been on 2 dolphin cruises, plus a half day and full day trip to Cayo Costa with Captiva Cruises. They are never disappointing, and have a nice variety of cruises! Also, they are trustworthy. One of the guides / captains talked us into going to Cayo Costa on a different day with better weather, and he was absolutely right!... More

We found these cruises thanks to a book, mentioning we had almost 100% chances to see dolphins, and it was the case ! Nice experience to see wild dolphins just coming closer to the boat to play. A wildlife expert is on board to comment on wildlife too. We saw dolphins about 3 times, and also had the chance to... More

If you want to live the Doc Ford life then take a cruise to one of the islands mentioned in his books. We chose Cabbage Key which is only accessible by boat. This is the way to go. It rained most of the 5 hour tour but never affected us that much. We ate at the restuarant which was not... More

Our last day on the island was not a pool or beach day - with a forecast of "cloudy w scattered storms". Yolo rentals & others were not renting anything. So we searched TripAdvisor & found Captiva Cruises. I called to see if they would still be operating (since the pending weather seemed to have everyone else shut down). They... More

We took a Captiva Cruise to Cayo Costa last year with this service. Cayo Costa is a state park known for its views, shelling, and seclusion. It's like having a small island to you and your cruisemates. it is only accessible by boat. If you take this cruise, pack in and pack out everything you need: sunscreen, water, food, beach... More

We took a shelling excursion to the nearby state park. Crew was great, marine biologist on board. Saw lots of dolphins, went snorkeling and shelling. 3 hour trip. Was recommended by the staff at the shell museum.

We went for the dolphin cruise and enjoyed ourselves. There is an upper deck and a lower deck. The lower deck is enclosed. We stayed on the lower deck b/c it was less crowded. We saw at least 10 dolphins at different times and the information about the island given on he loud speaker was impressive and entertaining. On the... More

We weren't expecting a great sunset because it had been raining hard several times throughout the day. We even thought the cruise would be canceled. Fortunately we took our chances and went. We were so happy we did. It was an enjoyable cruise with a great sunset even with the clouds. The staff was so nice. The guy that sang... More

We went for the shorter shelling cruise to Cayo Costa. We wish we had booked the longer visit. The cruise was very pleasant and Carlito was fun and informative. Once on the island, we walked through a stand of beautiful driftwood to get to the calmer side of the island. The beach was beautiful and the water was calm. We... More
