An approximately 2 mile nature walk on a secure wooden trail through lush Florida native trees and plants. Plenty of places to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet, and enough places to jump in for a swim if you're so inclined. It's also a good place to get in a daily run which we saw quite a few people... I am originally from Niceville, and grew up swimming here. Even though I come back every year, I am always still amazed how nice and naturally beautiful they have made this area. It's my favorite spot to run when I am home. Mr. Spenser and crew keep the place in pristine condition!

It is a city park. The trail is well kept and monitored. There is a 3/4 mile boardwalk along Turkey creek and over wetlands.

The boardwalk style trail is always clean and usually pretty quiet. Sometimes you can hear the kids screaming as they jump in the cold spring water but if you just walk a little further the noise melts away. Lots of great birding if you are into that. During the summer it is a great, FREE place to cool off by... More

The elevated boardwalk goes 3/4 of a mile from the entrance and curves gently to stay close to the creek. At the end, you turn around and walk back. It's under the trees and since the creek is cold, it's a cool place to walk. There are 4 places to get into the water and float downstream if you want,... More

Did a lil walking and took some time to reflect on aspects in my life. Enjoyed the Sandcranes, fish, and spiders. Everyone who was on the trail greeted me and were enjoying life themselves. Soooo take a visit and enjoy!

Went today 10-3-14. The water definitely did not look like the water in the picture I saw on TripAdvisor. To the very end of the trail it was dark and murky. I would't get in it! Maybe it's just the time of year or maybe a storm idk. The boardwalk trail is very nice though. They keep it well maintained.... More

3/4 mile of wood boardwalk through swamp like environment as Turkey Creek switches underneath you. Multiple docks off the boardwalk allow for easy access to the creek. The water is clear and clean. On a hot day enjoy the 68* water as you float lazily down the creek.

About three quarters of a mile of wooded boardwalk and nature. Follows a nice, clean, fresh-water creek (more like a small river). Lots of folks tubing, lots of folks taking a stroll with several points to sit along the way. Very quiet and soothing. There's a nice area dedicated to lost loved ones that is quiet and comfortable. Nice place... More

Even before the Turkey Creek Nature Trail Board walk was built, Turkey Creek has been meeting the fresh water swimming needs of the Niceville residents. During the summer, I visit the park with my noodle and walk up the Board Walk to where the power lines cross and float down the creek for about 1/2 mile. No matter how hot... More
