Our plan was to go to the dolphin discovery boat trip at 2:00 p.m. It was full so we had to go on the 4:15 one. Where you buy tickets and where you board the boat are two different locations so keep that in mind and go a bit early. We sat in the front seats which were a bit... More

Most people come here for the beach, but THIS is a side of New Smyrna that is a different world. Mangroves, oyster beds, osprey, manatees, and more... What a beautiful couple of hours we had today, on a comfortable pontoon boat tour! Knowledgable and fun tour guide and captain. My only complaint is that every seat was full, so that... More

The dolphin boat tour is fantastic. The guides saw manatees right as we were about to launch. The boat followed the manatees so we could all see. Afterward, they began the regular tour. They stopped anytime we wanted to see something and answered all questions. They were very knowledgeable and informative. This is a great way to spend an afternoon... More

The guide on the dolphin tour was awesome. We were able to see and learn about much of the native wildlife in the Indian river. Super peaceful.

This 2hr narrated tour of the intercoastal waterway was great! Saw a manatee and a bottle nose dolphin and lots of pelicans and baby pelicans. Tour is on a covered pontoon boat. Very relaxing and water is smooth. Very safe and well maintained. Great for all ages. Guide and captain are very friendly and knowledgeable. Buy tickets at Marine Discovery... More

We loved their delightful and relaxing dolphin and manatee cruise to the point where hubby asked for us to return. We are going back there to kayak on a guided tour of the local ecosystem this June.

It's a cool little marine center located in the old New Smyrna Beach high school. It is a work in progress but very interesting! Some of the exhibits are still being put together but info and photo's are a plus. Much about our history and the waters that surround our state. I go to support (donations go to the center).... Time well spent on the two hour boat tour. We saw dolphins, pelicans, egrets, blue herons and osprey's. They beached the boat to pick up a live crown whelk that was shown around the boat. Several other animals were shown to all the passengers. It was a very pleasant and educational afternoon. I should reiterate there are no bathroom facilities... More

It's a nice place to learn about the marine wildlife and do cool stuff, like kayoing and information boat rides. And they have sea horse and crabs inside you can look at up close.
