Excellent Nature Cruise

The cruise delivered on seeing manatees, dolphins, oystercatchers and newly hatched pelicans and egrets. The naturalist and captain were friendly and informative. A great outing.

Fantastic 2-hour cruise, one of the best (of many!) that we've ever done. Our captain and naturalist were friendly and knowledgable. We saw LOTS of dolphins, manatees, pelican and egret chicks, herons, even three American Oystercatchers. We also appreciated being able to make reservations online and received an immediate confirmation and follow up reminder by email.

This is a nice place to kill a couple of hours... Not too much there but enough to keep yourself busy...

The people here were so warm and willing to answer any questions. We went on the 2 hour kayak tour and it was so beautiful.

Educational boat tour of local Eco-system well worth the time. The leader was well informed and articulate. She discussed area history, pointed out plants and sea life, and discussed how it all worked together to make this a unique environment. A n excellent outdoor classroom, even for adults!

We loved the 2 hour tour which was guided by a Certified Florida Coastal Naturalists. We were given an intimate look at the Indian River Lagoon’s population of bottlenose dolphin, bird rookeries, mangrove islands and much more. Their mission is "To protect and restore the Florida coastal and Indian River Lagoon ecosystems through education, research and community stewardship."

This is an excellent tour of the intercoastal at New Smyrna Beach. It is a non-profit tour and the guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and provided us with information you just wouldn't learn about going on a commercial tour. The tour boat is very stable so no need to worry about being sea sick if you are... More

We saw lots of dolphins and had an entertaining and informative cruise. We've been on this cruise before yet we still learned lots. The pontoon boat was comfortable and Lisa the naturalist was excellent.

The staff and exhibits at the Marine Discovery Center were very enjoyable, but our primary focus was the dolphin cruise. The boat was clean and comfortable, the captain was friendly and capable, and the education director was informative and engaging. We saw lots of dolphins, sea birds and oyster beds. It was a beautiful, relaxing and educational trip - enjoyed... More

For a free attraction, my 4 year old loved it! There are only a few tanks, but we got there at feeding time which was really cool and the workers took out the crabs for my son to see, etc. They even have little stools for the kids to take around with them to see in the tanks! It's a... More
