They are trying to rehab injured turtles but you really can't see any. They have a few exotic birds across the street which was really only... More

The passionate folks who work and volunteer at the Marine Discovery Center are knowledgeable and are genuinely interested in educating visitors on the local complex ecosystems and marine life. The guides draw from their Florida Master Naturalist curriculum and weave their personal experience throughout all activities offered.

A little out of the way, when we discovered the discovery center, what we found was quaint. I'm sure they are nice folk and they seem to run a good business. Once per day boat tours were not what we were expecting or interested in.

I thought I was going to the museum located at the light house, but GPS brought us here. I think I got the names mixed up. I didn't even know this place existed. So it was relatively small. 2 rooms of small tanks of random sea creatures. Our docent didn't know a lot of answers to our questions, but was... More

We did a 2pm tour on a very hot day. We did see lots of Dolphins at the beginning and near the end of the tour. We saw some interesting birds, their nests and babies. But the rest of the tour was a little boring with not much to see but vegetation. Captain Scott and Tracey were very helpful and knowledgeable.... More

Small but very educational and totally free! Very cute and cheap jewelry and small souvenirs. It's just one small room but plenty to do,they do offer canoe tours as well .

The cruise was educational, fun and so interesting!! We got to see dolphins really up close, manatees. The captain was very respectful and very protective of his distance with the animals. The guide was great, she gave us such interesting facts!!! I highly recommend this for all ages!!

The cruise delivered on seeing manatees, dolphins, oystercatchers and newly hatched pelicans and egrets. The naturalist and captain were friendly and informative. A great outing.
