Recently I had my grandchildren in from out of town. They are the outdoors types and it was too windy to be on the water so we decided to visit Starkey Wilderness Park. What a great place to just kick back. I has a great bike trail and lots of shelter areas and picnic tables. It is not commercial and... More

We love going to this park is close to home and absolutely beautiful! We roller blade and bike ride the trail all the way out to Suncoast Pkwy. Our dogs love to walk the hiking trails especially the one that goes out to the Cotee River. We bought an annual parking pass we LOVE it so much!!!!!

If you just want to find somewhere to walk comfortably without much traffic, get back to nature or Camp, this park is really nice, local and well kept. It's also great for a picnic, Birthday parties and other celebrations.

My family has had many birthday parties here for all ages. There are lots of trails to walk on and a great biking trail. I used to play on the playground when I was little. We have even flown kites here. The entrance near 52 is great too because it's so secluded it's a great place to walk as a... More

Nice camping spot. Get a cabin or a spot for tents, RV etc., and it's nice and quiet and no one bothers you. Lots of wilderness around like raccoons, wolf, deer and snakes. Fun to smoke a spliff and watch the serenity unfold around you.

We often ride on the bike trail. It tends to be crowded on the weekends with joggers, people roller blading and walking dogs as well as with bike riders. Some areas have very little shade and there are no longer any water stations, so be advised to bring water and wear sunscreen. The trail is about 6 and a half... More

Starkey Park has bike trails, nature trails, swings, slides, monkey bars for the kids and even has facilities for family picnics and over night camping. Great place.

Had the pleasure of riding with some friends down the bike trails, it was very nice. Saw deer and so many different types of birds. Nice place to ease the body and soul.

This is a gem of a park, I used to see tons of animals here. The arrival of people walking dogs here and kids running around screaming has caused the birds and animals to flee. The camping is still good here and when you wake before the park opens you can still see deer, wild pigs, many types of birds... More
