This is more of my type of an area than 5th avenue.Much less upscale with friendly restaurants a few good pubs with happy hours and overall a fun relaxing area.My wife and I like to stroll around in late afternnon, then hit one of the many restaurants for happy hour and fill up on inexpensive appetizers and cheap booze.

Typically, we stroll along 3rd, and go to Handsome Harry's (which is unfortunately closing May 18th for a Capiello off-spring).

Another great place to wander around or shopping. Music on Thursday is a must, outdoor performances.

Unique, eclectic, and fascinating shops and shoppers. Would recommend this for your must-see list while in Naples.

This is a smaller version of 5th Ave that has some very nice restaurants to pick from. They promote the area with Thursdays on Third with live entertainment outdoors but it used to be every Thursday but they have cut it back to just one Thursday a month now so I don't think it is as vibrant as it was... Fun 6 block shop/restaurant area of Naples. Quieter than 5th Ave South area, but still worth the visit.

Just a few blocks from the extravagance of 5th Avenue is another shopping district - with a wide variety of stores and interesting events.

We walked this way several times while staying near the City Docks. There are plenty of shops - largely art galleries and restaurants - to browse. On Broad Avenue is the Naples Backyard History museum, well worth a look for its "time capsule" of the develpment of Naples.
