I'm amazed that are negative reviews! I feel that Tin City has something for everyone. The buildings are rehabilitated from an old canning operation. There are several great places to eat, a terrific ice cream parlor, and a wine shop that I love to visit. Yes, if you want a t-shirt that will be unique, you will find it. There... More

After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical of going to Tin City. We had a great time, walked around shops, the shop owners and employees were more than friendly and helpful. Cute Florida items, boardwalk area with boats very nice, found everyone friendly. Not sure what some of the people were looking for that wrote bad reviews but... More

Well, being a tourist is not necessarily a bad thing - but if it only means cheap art, poorly spelled signs, absurdly stupid tee shirts and junky kind of beach clothing, then, I think it is a bad thing. Tin City is an amalgamation of some decent restaurants and tourist trinket shops. I guess if you are looking for a... More

Unless your idea of a great time is perusing through endless stalls of cheap souvenirs, ie. T shirts, candles, etc. then do yourself a favour and pass on Tin City.

Fun to see but very expensive a little too touristy for us. We had lunch at Pinchers restaurant our food was cold wish had of picked another restaurant they had plenty to choose from. We did enjoy watching the boats come in with their catch of stone crab for the day.

Parking could be a trick, you may circle for a little. Built in 1976, a rustic environment of indoor shops filled with things you probably don't need. Everything was pricy, even the ice cream cones were over $20. But it is on the river and a sunny day can provide fun window shopping.

This shopping area has a few good places to eat on the water. A few of the shops were nice but most had expensive cheaply made items. Fun to do on a rainy day

We stopped here because my husband heard of it. We were there during the week and early in the day, so we did not have and issue with parking. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the merchandise. If you are on vacation, why not???? We wound up eating at the Pinchers Crab Shack as part of Tin City which... More

A local friend told us that this place had declined in popularity over the years. Bit run-down but didn't look dangerous. We noted more food places than other shops, like t-shirts, etc. Think "touristy" ! Name would seem to come from the preponderance of metal buildings in the area. Wouldn't go out of the way but worth a brief stop... More
