The 2.5 hour manatee viewing eco tour is the only local eco tour that starts in the heart of the Everglades, and takes only minutes to get to the 10,000 Islands and the Gulf of Mexico. The tour is located at the home of South Florida's largest herd of manatees. Viewing the eco system of the Everglades in the comfort of a covered boat is a true Everglades experience. You are likely to see manatees, alligators, dolphins, and turtles, as well as many species of rare and endangered tropical birds. Some of the tropical birds species are the Ibis, Egret, Great Blue Heron, Osprey, Pelican, and the American Bald Eagle. The tour is fully narrated by knowledgeable local Captains and their boats are stable, comfortable and USCG approved. You'll learn interesting facts on the manatee, alligator, dolphin, and tropical bird species, along with information on the Everglades.

This was one of the most memorable trips I'll ever have with my grandma and husband! Captain Jim was amazing and was by far the best. He knew his fish and was very helpful. I never expected to have a fishing experience like I had. My husband had never caught a fish and on his first cast, he caught a... More

We were not an easy group, we had my 90 year old father-in-law who asked non-stop questions from the time we boarded the boat until the last fish was cleaned and our 9 year old son, who is well, a 9 year old boy (but we think he’s the best!). Despite the challenging passenger list, the trip was spectacular, particularly... More

Gary and his gang did another outstanding job. My family, my daughter, her two children and one of their friends went fishing again this year with Double R's and believe me we were completely "satisfied" with our trip. Everyone caught fish both in the Gulf and in the backwaters. This is the 17th year we have fished with Double R's... More

Did four fishing charters and had a great time and experience every time. From taking employees out for fishing to taking my grandson out today. Captain Jim knows the Islands and the gulf and has made our fishing experience a great one.

My 2 friends and I were lucky enough to have Captain Mike give us a tour of the Everglades. Entertaining, fun, relaxing, educational, just an all around incredible time. Captain Mike has a great sense of humor and is wonderfully versed on the wildlife in the area. He is also extremely respectful of the wildlife. Shelling on an uninhabited island,... More

I recently had the pleasure of going on Double R's Manatee Eco Tour, led by Captain Mike. What a wonderful experience! The tour was well organized, and Captain Mike had a wealth of knowledge regarding the environment - to include the birds, dolphins, manatees and surrounding shorelines. He even brought us to a small island where we were able to... More

A great time. Captain was knowledgable and patient. Our boys fished the whole time. The nature facts we learned kept us entertained.

Saw more manatee and dolphin than expected...Thanks to Capt. Mike learned more about them during our 2.5 hour tour than my 24 years living on Marco Island. Capt. Mike was entertaining as well as educational. Went on eco tour with visiting friends and now is a must for future visitors with us. Thank you

WOW...... What do amazing 2.5hrs on the water with capt Carl. His knowledge of the animals, ecosystems, general area were fascinating. He happily told us to ask any questions & he'd answer them for us. Smooth sailing with the amazing bonus of spotting a manatee within about 3 mins of being on the water. Lots of safety advice as we... More

We had a great day fishing with Jim. Caught multiple types of trout and our favorite whiting. Not sure how many fish for the day but it was a large number of fish. On the way back Jim's wife suggested we stop at a special location and WOW am I glad we did. My second cast in and WAM! My... More
