Description: The 2.5 hour manatee viewing eco tour is the only local eco tour that...
The 2.5 hour manatee viewing eco tour is the only local eco tour that starts in the heart of the Everglades, and takes only minutes to get to the 10,000 Islands and the Gulf of Mexico. The tour is located at the home of South Florida's largest herd of manatees. Viewing the eco system of the Everglades in the comfort of a covered boat is a true Everglades experience. You are likely to see manatees, alligators, dolphins, and turtles, as well as many species of rare and endangered tropical birds. Some of the tropical birds species are the Ibis, Egret, Great Blue Heron, Osprey, Pelican, and the American Bald Eagle. The tour is fully narrated by knowledgeable local Captains and their boats are stable, comfortable and USCG approved. You'll learn interesting facts on the manatee, alligator, dolphin, and tropical bird species, along with information on the Everglades.

Must of caught 60 or more fish myself! Counted 2 casts where i didn't catch something and that was because i missed the bite. It wasnt fishing it was catching! Our guide Jim and his wife were amazing extremely helpful and knowledgeable! This tour allowed us and other family members on 2 different occasions to have successful trips. My newly... More

From start to finish this trip was fantastic. Our tour guide was courteous and very knowledgeable. He spotted so much wildlife that we simply would never have noticed and told us all about the history of the area too. The boat was the most comfortable and clean boat I have been on for a day trip. To top it all... More

Great trip out on the boat....through the mangrove forests and out to the Gulf. Captain Mike was very informative and knowledgeable. En route we saw Manatee's very close up, Pelicans , various Eagles , Ospreys (hunting for fish) . Upon reaching the estuary of the gulf we saw Dolphins which was a fantastic experience. On the return leg of the... More

A friend and I did the longer 3 hr trip with our two five year olds. It was a bit of a stretch for patience, but the shell collecting was something the kids enjoyed. The highlight of the trip was the two sets of dolphins that trailed our boat on the return. A truly magical experience --- apparently a first... More

My son flew in from Denver last week and Gary fixed us up with Cap'n Jim and a reef fishing excursion. We had an incredible morning catching fish after fish. Cap'n Jim put us on lots of keeper Pompano, Sea Trout, Whiting, plus we got into Jack Cravale, Lane Snapper, Blue Runner, a couple of sharks and a few Lady... More

About a month ago I took my father and daughter out on the Double R's boat tour that takes you all the way out to the Gulf of Mexico via the Everglades. The tour takes roughly 2 hours and takes you out into the 10000 Islands area. If you think the Everglades is just this massive swamp with nothing beautiful... More

And of course is the best fishing and shelling with Captain Gary and his crew . It just... More

This was one of the most memorable trips I'll ever have with my grandma and husband! Captain Jim was amazing and was by far the best. He knew his fish and was very helpful. I never expected to have a fishing experience like I had. My husband had never caught a fish and on his first cast, he caught a... More
