Fun and relaxing. The captain and crew were funny and informative. The boat was clean and so was the bathroom.

My Dad, husband, and I visited Mt Dora for a couple of days. We called when we got into town and made a reservation. Our tour guide was captain David. This was a really enjoyable, relaxing, and scenic tour. Captain David provided just the right amount of conversation, information, and quiet. It was a smooth ride. There was a bathroom... More

There are several boats that do the tour of Dora Canal, we took this one. The trip thru the canal is amazing..... a gorgeous contrast to the over-developed Florida we usually see.. You feel like you are traveling back 100 years before air conditioning made the state palatable to folks hellbent on destroying the natural beauty that made them move... More

This boat trip across Lake Dora and through a canal is a place we always take our visitors or give gift certificates for it as gifts. Bring your camera to record the beauty of the canal. On a weekday you can pretty much count on the silence as you slowly slip through ancient cedars. Weekends there is more traffic on... More

we took the Rusty Anchor today for the first time and our travelers ranged from 5 year old to 87 year old with limited mobility. The boat was easily accessed from the dock with the assistance of both Dan and son Dan. The 2 hr cruise was informative including details on the Mt Dora area, the wildlife of the lake... More

The boat captain on duty the day our group took this tour was not very informative & personable.. He was a nice person but it was clear that he needed more training; there were far too many quiet moments on this cruise.. We then enjoyed a great lunch with excellent service at the Bavarian German restaurant nearby..

Great tour of the lake shore and canal. We had perfect views of a nesting pair of bald eagles and many other species along the way. We also saw a juvenile bald eagle at the turn around on Lake Eustice. The crew were very friendly and gave us a very enjoyable tour.

Three of us caught the 3pm, two hour ride for a trip across the lake and through the canal. It was a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon after having lunch in Mt. Dora. Tour Guide, Bob, was well educated about the surrounding communities and generated excitement about the flora, fauna and wildlife. He pointed out a huge eagle's... More

We went with friends yesterday afternoon and had a very relaxing ride across the lake. The highlight of the trip was the ride through the canal. Beautiful Florida scenery. Lots of bird life. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Both our Captain Dave and Bob the guide were very knowledgeable of the wildlife.

Desided to take this trip by default!! As we took longer over lunch than anticipated, we were able to make the 3pm trip out onto Lake Dora. Despite weather change and the fact it was only my husband and I on the boat the captain still took us out. So glad we stuck with the trip as I can only... More
