We enjoyed the trip across Lake Dora to the Dora Canal. Scott, our captain, was very knowledgable about the flora and fauna along the canal. Unfortunately, this time of year there were no alligators and very few turtles to be seen. We did see an eagle and an osprey, as well as great and little blue herons, anhingas and great... More

We were very disappointed. We made reservations for two about 10 days before our visit. We spoke with Capt Scott the morning before driving from Daytona/Ormond area solely for the boat tour. I asked if there were enough passengers scheduled for the trip to go. I was given an affirmative response. We arrived and were disappointed when no one else... More

What a wonderful 2-hour adventure, from the personality and knowledge of both our Captain, Scott, and his assistant, Robert, to the serenity and nature at it's best in the Dora Canal. A must-do for everyone visiting the area, and even the locals who have yet to experience the beauty of the nature around them.

Our Captain, Scott, was friendly knowledgeable with a good sense of humor and helped make our two hour boat ride across the lake and into the nearby canals so enjoyable. We would love to take the sunset trip the next time we are in town. Thank you Scott...

Enjoyed this relaxing boat tour on the lake and down the canal today. Some beautiful views to be had on the canal. Staff was friendly and informative. Responded to questions and pointed out wildlife.

Excellent ride to and from the canal as well as a great ride through the canal to lake eustis. The captain made rounds with everyone on board and my 9 and 7 year old children loved how he invited them up to "captain" the vessel. I highly recommend this tour. Plus the breeze off the lake made for a nice... More

John is the Captain and Randy is his assistant and they are both a hoot! It came as a complete surprise to me that these two guys were going to be so entertaining. Not only is the boat trip interesting and so relaxing but Captain John and Randy kept us laughing. The mile of canal that you go through is... More

The boat is very comfortable and goes across the lake to the Mt. Dora Canal. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the canal and its nice to sit back, watch the scenery and feel the cool breeze. Arriving at the canal, the pontoon boat goes very slow so you have the opportunity to view alligators, turtles and many birds.... More

Fun and relaxing. The captain and crew were funny and informative. The boat was clean and so was the bathroom.

My Dad, husband, and I visited Mt Dora for a couple of days. We called when we got into town and made a reservation. Our tour guide was captain David. This was a really enjoyable, relaxing, and scenic tour. Captain David provided just the right amount of conversation, information, and quiet. It was a smooth ride. There was a bathroom... More
