Even if you are planning a short stop over in South Beach this tour is a must. Our tour guide, Christine, was so warm, passionate and informative.. she brought the architecture to life and transported us through the history of South Beach. I learned so much and my sister and I agree this tour was not only a South Beach... More

Not sure why we weren't delighted by this tour. Could it be Clavin's reminiscences of where he used to drink, kept repeating many facts and a lot of non-PC comments or the fact that many of the buildings were undergoing refurb. A local who came with us pointed out many of the 'facts' were more poetic license and opinion. Plenty... More

We've been on several walking tours on differnt US trips, this being clearly one of the best. It was informative, fun and we learned so much on the history of a fascinating city. James was a great guide (and as we learned also a skilled writer). He really did an awesome job and made the tour to become one of... More

What a fun time we had on this tour. Calvin was very knowledgeable about the history of the hotels and brought us to places we normally would not have seen. The lobbies and rooftop bars and pools of these classic hotels were lovely. We would not have appreciated all the work and character of these old hotels without going on... More

James Cubby took us on a fabulous walking tour of many Deco style buildings. We were fortunate to have him join us to talk while we were eating breakfast, and he was able to easily share stories and details until we were finished eating. He was interesting, knowledgeable, and all-around good guy to spend a few hours with. We were... More

We truly enjoyed the tour. James was informative, fun and really energetic. We learned many things we didn't know about the art deco style and James pointed out details we likely would have missed on our own. The only thing that would have made the tour better would be if it was longer. If we get back to Miami Beach,... More

Calvin was a great tour guide! After our weekend in South Beach, my husband, daughter and I all agreed that your Art Deco tour with Calvin was the highlight of the trip. (The beach and Havana 1957 tied for second.) My goal was to get a picture of what Miami Beach was like when my grandparents wintered there in the... More

My 8 year old son & I really enjoyed our Art Deco walking tour with James, he taught us the important points that identify an Art Deco building and the secret keys to finding hidden casinos in each hotel. I will never look at a lobby floor in the same way ever again ;) Ive been to South Beach lots... More

We had a great tour by James. He did an amazing job of explaining the history and had the unique access to some of the sites not usually open to the public. I would definetely take this tour if visiting Miami Beach.

Our tour guide James was fantastic! We had just arrived in Miami Beach off an overnight flight from Portland, OR. It was too early to check into our hotel, so we decided to do the 2 hour Art Deco walking tour. So glad we did this. The tour turned out to be the highlight of our trip. James is incredibly... More
