We loved our tour guide, John! We have two teenage boys and his combination of an easy going personality, wit and wisdom was perfect for our family. We did not know exactly what to expect however, right from the start, John set us at ease asking if there was anything in particular we were interested in seeing or hearing about.... More

We would support everything positive that other reviewers have said....knowledgeable and relaxed (fun) guides, a small group which gave us access to all the interesting indoor deco sites, and a great idea to follow up with an e-mail describing (and picturing) what we had seen. If you are even only vaguely interested in Art Deco architecture, take this tour.

Liked the small group and friendly guide. He shared interesting trivia and I loved going into hotels and even rooftops for a special view. Easy paced he said he was passionate about the area but I didn't get that feeling though he was friendly and gave us good pointers on dining and drinking.

We had a fantastic time, the tour really brought to life what Art Deco means to Miami specifically and how perceptions of these buildings have changed over the years locally. We really benefited from the small numbers on the tour and were able to enter buildings and rooftops that would otherwise not be possible. The details and background provided were... More

This is a two hour tour of parts of South Beach which we took in March and offered by Art Deco Tours with Christine and Company. Groups are small so that access to places not usually allowed are possible. We were extremely fortunate to have Christine as our guide. She is charismatic and knowledgeable about a myriad of subjects, and... More

My wife and I have visited South Beach before but knew nothing of the architecture and history. Robert (our guide) has lived in the area for over 30 years. He gave us great background on the most important art deco locations. Visiting the lobby of one of these old hotels and learning exactly why it's unique and historic was the... More

Highlight of our trip. Our guide met us promptly and started with a brief introduction to the tour and himself. He was charming and informative. We moved from place to place and he was sure to answer our questions and entertain us with stories of Miami Beach. He brought us to places we could not have gone without the tour,... More

I guess I expected more given past reviews. The tour was good, but not great given price + expected tip. It was more about the history of Miami Beach and less about the actual building architecture. Tour went a little long for the amount of information delivered (2 1/2 was our tour duration) and was sometimes the delivery of info... More

Hello Kelly! I'm so sorry we did not meet your expectations. We take pride in catering to our client's requests. Based on your notes in the reservation, you had indicated "garden variety" and that your daughter was very interested in history. Given that Robert is the history buff of all the guides, we felt he would be the best guide... More

Hello! So glad you were able to spend some time absorbing the history and culture of South Beach outside of any meetings and conference. Robert is indeed one of our best guides as he has lived and seen all the action unfold and development of Miami Beach from the early 80's during the Cocaine Cowboys, the preservation of Art Deco...
