We booked an Art Deco walking tour by phone prior to our trip. The person we spoke with asked us questions about what things we were interested in. We explained that we had some experience with art deco and were looking for a bit more history of the area. She indicated that she thought Calvin would be the best guide... More

James Cuddy was our guide and what a brilliant guide he was (took the afternoon tour). Walking us through some of the Art Deco gems of Miami Beach, James was able to showcase his extensive knowledge of the area, peppered with his personal stories. Highly recommend.

He went at our pace and was sweet in answering all of our questions. Loved meeting at the Aster Hotel and learning about all the timeless features- walls, tiles, terrazo, etc. The Essex Hotel was another highlight-loved the pink diamond terrazo! You will have to take the tour to find out what the diamonds stand for!

We took the 10am private walking tour with James and enjoyed it enormously. We learnt a lot about the history and architecture of South Beach and James's knowledge and enthusiasm for his subject made for a very entertaining couple of hours. I would thoroughly recommend taking this tour as an informative introduction to South Beach.

Went on the evening tour with Chris who was a great guide, fun, knowledgable and interesting. Loved the history and going inside all the hotels, a bonus which they are able to do due to only taking small groups (there were just 4 of us). Really loved the tour and felt that Chris our tour guide enjoyed sharing all the... More

My mother and I loved this tour! Our tour guide, John, was fun, kind, enthusiastic, full of fascinating info, patient, and just a wonderful host. And we got free goodies at a few of the hotels -- and unexpected treat! It was really neat learning about the architecture and history -- on foot! I recommend this tour to all of... More

My wife and I hosted a visitor from Myanmar recently and the three of us took the South Beach Art Deco tour one morning with Christine. We could not have had a better or more interesting morning as Christine proved both knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Art Deco district in South Beach and her connections allowed us...
