If you want to be right on the beach, here's where you have to stay. Family, couples, partying, shopping, museums, great food, luxury, day and night. Everything's open 24/7. Don't take a car, parking is expensive!

Depending on where you hotel is it determines the life and excitement you will see. We were on 39th so there was not much happening on that end. All of the life and excitement was further up around 9 and 10th streets off of Collins Avenue. I did notice that a lot of properties were either being demolished or renovated.

Restaurants and bars along the avenue and also you can sit outside and have a great time here. Collins avenue is also a great place for shoppers.

This is the main drag next to the beach, a whole lot of trendy restuarants are everywhere and great people watching, sit outside with a drink in a shaded garden of a hotel bar and enjoy yourself. Prices are high, try to drink the specials.

..lots of shopping stores--high end and some chain stores like H& M, Zara, etc... not a shopping place for somebody looking for sales.

you get the finest shopping stores,provision stores,best restaurant was the cuba restaurant.there is a separate path for bicycle too..its less noisy than others

We stopped at every other store along the way.Great familiar shops, some one of a kind boutiques and great bars/ restaurants to stop in and enjoy a casual drink while in between shopping!

great option for a stroll if your into art deco this and ocean drive are for you.lots of good buildings to peruse and the southern end gets into upmarket shopping.
