My wife and I drove down Collins Avenue (A1A), which is the main oceanfront street that runs along the coast of Miami Beach through a number of unique seaside communities. Each of these towns has its own personality from glamorous to casual. Coined as "Millionaires Row," Collins Avenue boasts many of the most famous and trendy hotels along on the... More

Collin Ave is the gate way to Miami Beach and South Beach. Lots of upscale shops and great people watching. You see all walks of life. We drove around and just took in the sites and all the buildings. Collins Ave is so different at night. It's like it's a different part of the city.

I have been here a couple times - the first time was when I was 21 and in college and the most recent time was this May when I was 30 and it's so fun each time. Granted, the most recent time was during the afternoon, so I can't comment on how it is at night since my most recent... More

One of the main streets in South Beach. Great for shopping and an abundance of restaurants and bars.

The streets are filthy. I can't understand why the city of south beach, Miami with its beautiful beaches does not clean there streets and especially there sidewalks. We are staying at the National hotel which is beautiful but once you walk the surrounding areas it actually smells. South Beach use to be known for its beauty, a perfect getaway with... More

The walk along Collins ave in south beach can be interesting. Lots of people watching. At night a little tricky with some very "suspect" characters saying a few too too many comments making us uncomfortable. The day time shopping is good, prices not special or sorse. Victoria secret had the same old stuff with the same price to match, not... More

We had a hotel at collins avenue. It was nice location for hotel. It was easy to drive to many places from here. But the hotel we stayed wasn´t too great and actually we had one not so great experience there.

We stayed on Collin's Avenue at the Eden Roc. It was a great location to other very nice hotels in the same area. Our hotel was right next to Fountain Bleu which was a very nice property. Pricey, but the restaurants in that hotel are very good. You could catch a city bus to take you anywhere from that location.... More

My trips to Miami wouldn't be complete without a day/night in South Beach. Take a tour through all the art deco hotels that will amaze you....I saw and stayed in several of them in the 60's and it's amazing how they have been revitalized. If you don't stay in one of them, at least have a drink at the bar.... More
