This walking tour helps you understand the history of Ocean Drive and is a great way for newcomers to orient themselves in the area. Our knowledgeable guide explained the façades but also took us into a number of Deco / Nouveau hotels. Your modest fee for the tour goes to a local preservation society and it is worth every penny.

We did a walking tour in the Miami Beach Art Deco District with Kent. It was very interesting as Kent had a lot of background information and told quaint stories about the historical aspects associated with the development of the architecture in Miami Beach. We also saw several hotel lobbies where Kent explained many details about Art Deco. Although it... More

Well worth money. Guide(Howard) brilliant. Would recommend evening tour as by end neon lights on the building were on.

Kent provided a fabulous tour of some of the most beautiful and significant preserved art deco hotels in South Beach, Miami. He was both entertaining and educational. It was a 1 1/2 hour tour that we were sad to have end. Well worth the $20.

We took this tour, about an hour and a half, and our guide, Howard, was quite knowledgeable. There are many Art Deco style buildings in South Beach and it's great that they are saving them. My husband, who was not keen on taking the tour, said he enjoyed it!

First we had a very large group. They had to split us into two but I think we still had too many folks. It was a Saturday so that could explain it. Seeing the buildings and learning about the architecture was great. I'm sure that my feelings were not shared by everyone but our 4 visitors felt that our guide... More

We enjoyed the tour and found it to be very interesting and informative. Mark who was our guide did an outstanding job of explaining the history of the Art Deco era and how it started and lasted in South Beach. The tour lasted 2hrs and was well worth the $20 fee --we would highly recommend the tour

This was a fun and relatively inexpensive activity that really brought the South Beach architecture history alive. I would have walked for another hour! Very cool to go into some of the hotels and see the art deco features inside as well.

My husband and I had the pleasure of joining our guide, John, and our group on the most fascinating and educational tour of Art Deco in South Beach. The history and explanations of Art Deco brought new light to us as we admired buildings we once just looked at. It was clear John mastered his subject matter as no question... More
