“Wonderful intro to Art Deco South Beach”

We did the self-guided Art Deco tour and it was the perfect introduction to Art Deco architecture in South Beach. My wife and I needed suggestions and directions for places to visit.The people here were fantastic. They answered all our questions patiently, going above expectations and extra mile. Think of it as a hotel travel brochure rack on steroids... but in a great location. Don't make a special trip to stop by here, but do drop in if you are walking the beach or touring the architecture of the Deco District. They do have info on some walking tours.

Inconsistent info about the various biking options in SOBE, however, we bought tickets to a 6:30 pm walking tour of the Art Deco District that proved to be excellent.

anything with Miami Beach history- they have it. along with a good shop with a bunch of cool things. We visited during Art Deco weekend which made it even better.

The ladies were very helpful and informative, not just a centre for Art Deco history but for the whole of Miami beach. Audio walking tour was good fun, a nice way to learn more about the history and you can stop and look about shops, hotels and have food at your own pace.

If you come to Ocean Drive, walk on Lummus Park or even go to South Point Park, you must make a pit stop here. They have the coolest shop and a great deal of informational material on South Beach and the Art Deco movement. And great a/c to take a respite from hot Miami Beach in the summer months.

No books with self-guided walking tours, no maps with same. They push their walking tours. Adjacent gift shop is tacky to the max.
