The Miami Beach Miami Art Deco District known as Old Miami Beach Historic District is a U.S. historic district located in the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach. It contains many, many historic buildings. I love the place and unique atmosphere. Spend half a day and go for lunch to Las Olas Cafe.

I enjoyed the art education I received via this museum. I thought the presentation was well organized, educational, and attractive. It was inexpensive and a nice treat.

It is interesting to visit because you can see an exposition with interesting photos inside. Also the building is quite interesting. Anyway, it is a little lacking in giving map and information. It provides especially paying walking tour.

While the shop was interesting and had some unique and hard to find vintage items I really would never pay $135 for a 1970s toaster that I didn't like in the 1970s when it was new. That being said, its a nice look at yesteryear with some quirky stuff thrown in.

We stopped by to gather more information about the area and were greeted by friendly, warm staff. They were very informative and helpful, we were able to narrow down the activities that we really wanted to do with their input.

The Welcome Center and museum were great. My family paid $5 a person to look at the displays in the museum which were nice but I would, in the future, pay the extra to join the walking tour or the audio tour.

We booked the walking tour from home to be sure of a place. It was very popular so this is probably a good idea. Lots of information but we were disappointed by the number of buildings we were shown - thought there would be more on the tour. We did look at more under our own steam! The museum is... More

We took the 2 hour walking tour and it was amazing. Our guide , who btw is totally voluntary, was super knowledgeable, had been living there for years and wanted us to see as much as we could so moved along well, had insightful commentary about art inside the buildings as well as the owners, history and even some "gossip"... We visited these exhibits last week and learned so much about the people who began saving the wonderful art deco building in South Beach. There was also an exhibit of photography to complement the permanent displays. The gift shop next door is OK, but not why I came here. The history of Art Deco is more important. The staff here... This nothing more than a over-priced gift store. There was little information about each building, and the focus was to sell tacky things.
