we obtained our audio guides (you can keep the ear pieces) from Mr R and went round viewing all the architecture. He also told us about the free bus that tours the area of Miami and South Beach.which was great.

Took the self-guided walking tour since I missed the guided tour (which typically only runs once daily, in the morning). The tour leads you on an easy walk of the Art Deco district and describes key buildings along the way. Recorded guides point out distinctive Art Deco architectural features, including some subtle differences in sub-genres. In addition, the tour provides... More

We had planned to take the guided walking tour of the Art Deco area of South Beach, but the only tour was at 10:30 AM and it was a rainy morning. We went to the Welcome Center on Ocean Ave. and 10th St. and took the self guided walking tour of the same district. It takes about 90 minutes, and... More

During my stay in Miami, I participated the Key West, the Amphibious Trolley and the Everglades tours at the Art Deco Welcome Center on Ocean Drive. The Amphibious Trolley tour recommended by Connie was both informative and entertaining. It was truly a joyride from start to finish - both on dry land as well as on water. Awesome ride! The... More

The self-guided audio tour is really excellent. It provides a wealth of very interesting information, focused especially on the diverse Art Deco architecture but also on the general history of South Beach, and can be done at your own pace, allowing you to stop and soak in the particular vibrancy of any location that takes your fancy. Moreover, at $15... More

A fun and educational place to get information on the tours, in the heart of South Beach facing lots of restaurants and shopping on one side and park and beach on other side Art Deco Walking Tour....a must.

South Beach (and especially Ocean Dr) is brash, loud, and really fun. But if you have the slightest interest in the marvelous Art Deco architecture, take the tour through the Art Deco Welcome Center early in your visit. It gives you the vocabulary and concepts to understand and enjoy what you see. It is not only architecture but the social... More
