Those are the beautiful words from Sara in the Welcome Center that so accurately describe their mission to preserve this unique area and share it's rich history. Sara was very generous with her time and wealth of knowledge about the area. Wendy, our volunteer tour guide for the Art Deco Tour was spectacular. Yes, I said volunteer. Her passion to... More

We were guided by Martin Jean, who was very well-informed and entertaining. He led us on a tour of the Art Deco district, a place we had driven through many times, but never really knew anything about. He described the features if at least a dozen hotels, as well as several interior lobbies. By the end of the toUr, we... More

I would recommend this to anybody who loves art. I felt like I did a hike to see the history of the different buildings but it was worth it.

We have just been on the Art Deco walking tour in South Miami Beach. Our guide, Martin Jean, made the experience educational, interesting and most enjoyable. Martin was well informed about the architectural styles and history of the buildings. His descriptions were clear, spoken without hesitation and with a touch of humour. All this added to our understanding of the... More

I took the self-guided walking tour of part of the Art Deco district, and I really enjoyed it. The information was interesting and easy to listen to, and had some fun music that went along with it. The tour helped me to see the buildings in a more interesting way, and I loved that you could go at your own... More

we obtained our audio guides (you can keep the ear pieces) from Mr R and went round viewing all the architecture. He also told us about the free bus that tours the area of Miami and South Beach.which was great.

Took the self-guided walking tour since I missed the guided tour (which typically only runs once daily, in the morning). The tour leads you on an easy walk of the Art Deco district and describes key buildings along the way. Recorded guides point out distinctive Art Deco architectural features, including some subtle differences in sub-genres. In addition, the tour provides... More

We had planned to take the guided walking tour of the Art Deco area of South Beach, but the only tour was at 10:30 AM and it was a rainy morning. We went to the Welcome Center on Ocean Ave. and 10th St. and took the self guided walking tour of the same district. It takes about 90 minutes, and... More
