You need to own or be invited to this barrier island. The houses and condo's are very expensive. If invited, its a 10 minute ferry ride from Miami; Of course you can use your helicopter or boat. The island is upscale for the rich and famous, they have tennis, a couple of restaurants, luxurious spa. Nothing is inexpensive.

This place is great to have a good time with family and friends. A paradise in the middle of the city, Full of story and luxury. For people who never have traveled to Miami before, it's an amazing experience, because there you can see how rich people live. It´s an interesting cruise.

We have the good fortune (no pun intended) to have friends who live on this island for the uber rich and famous. The ferry shuttle assures the residents that only those who are invited get to visit, and it's a very cool few minutes as you traverse the Miami cruise ship channel. It's really a treat to be there--outstanding tennis... More

BIG dollar houses with BIG dollar people living in them. Two ways to get there. Helicopter and ferry.

Fisher Island seems to be a private island for the rich. No wonder houses are pretty nice and look luxurious.

It's a self contained, BORING reservoir for anorexic super rich people with mostly pink tans. Why bother? First, you need an invitation. Second, there are tons of cooler and smarter ways to enjoy frivolity in Miami. The beach is mediocre, food is mediocre and everything is ridiculously overpriced. The only nice thing are the people who work there. Not worth... More

I went to Fisher island because I was invited for dinner at a friend who as a condo there. You need to have your name on the guards' list at the Ferry entrance to get on the boat, and an ID. There is no other way to get there. The ride only lasts 10 minutes. It is king of cool.... More

I visited a few clients and friends on fisher island and I find it a bit annoying to take the ferry in and out considering there really isn't much to do there apart from a mediocre spa and a few restaurants...

private island for the super rich, I have been on a few occasions, you must go by ferry and invitation comes by every 30 mins (imagine forgetting something when your home from shopping) the island itself is amazing and first class all the way, Its like living in a 5 star resort 24/7, however the mosquitoes population outnumbers residents in...
