This famous street runs North-South parallel with the Ocean with many Art Deco hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops along the way! There is street parking if you can find one for $1,75/hr or a few covered parking garages, or valet parking. It is a gay-friendly area, so be prepared. Also be prepared to see barely dressed people walking down the... More

Ocean drive is one walk everyone must make if they go to South Beach. Restaurants line the street and don't get surprised if you grow an appetite as you walk by all of the food the local restaurants have to offer. After you eat, you can easily kick off your shoes, run across the street and walk along the beach.... More

Good place to visit, sit on the sidewalk seating of one of the numerous restaurant and watch people. If you're ordering, order only from the specials, otherwise, your bill will be unexpectedly high on the non special items. If just going for a drive to look, go early in the mornings on the weekend when most partiers are still sleeping.... More

Where else can you want? Beach on one side, lovely Art Deco architecture on the other... great people watching and fantastic energy. We watched Samba randomly outside the Clevelander Hotel (okay, so not the most brilliant experience and drinks are a rip-off, but the energy was good), and had a lovely meal. However, beware the annoying restaurant staff hounding you... More

First time to South Beach, and I thought I had a pretty good idea what to expect. It is indeed an almost non stop party with music everywhere at night, and a constant flow of people to and from the beach during the day. I saw parking close but not on Ocean Drive for $30 for the day, and there... More

This beach is large compared to the small strips of sand we call beach in other parts of Florida. It has volleyball courts and other activities to do while there. It is modernly accommodating. The hotels, shops, restaurants and bars on the land side are great. There is someone from every walk of life around, every age, every group you... More

Fun to see all the people and be by the beach and getting to see the art deco hotels. But it's annoying when people try to coax you into their restaurants. I sort of feel like I'm in Bahamas at the straw market a bit. I'd rather they were a little less pushy.

loved the beach, although the birds were too much. The parking was very hard to find, but worth it when we got there. Good food, good people watching. This place is a big party and very gay/lesbian friendly.. which was good for us. Ocean drive is the party mecca of miami! If you are looking for great food, fun and... More
