People Watching!

This street is definitely worth it for people watching and checking out some great architecture. It gets old after a while though.

Ocean drive starts at our hotel the Betsy where it's relatively quiet. Further along it's always busy, lots of places with live music, disco's, restaurants with varied food and prices, so something for everyone.

There seemed to be 100 places to eat & drink on Ocean Drive. All of them competing for you dollar. They all seem to serve almost the same type of menu & they all have those big giant party drinks. We tried a different place each day, for lunch and dinner. The food was excellent in all of them. Just... More

Daytime more subdued. Night time off the hook tourist attraction. Just do it to say you did. Admit it's not for everyone's taste but you never know what you'll see day or night!(24hr fashion show, midnight shoot for tv series, free concert on the beach, car show...)

It is very good area on my point of view. There are some shops and cafes. Good for walking when you have nothing else to do.

It's interesting to look at the architecture along here, for sure, but the commercial nature of this stretch of road is not a strong draw. It's a must to see, then, oh, "I must go"....

The best seafood restaurant to me was the Columbus Restaurant which is right outside the Colony Hotel. Great drinks and food and the staff are super sweet. I have dinner here all the time with my wife and we split a seafood dish because the quantity is large enough for two people. it's a little price but worth it, I... More

This is obviously the most important road on South Beach, packed with restaurants, bars, clubs and Art Deco hotels. It's nice to walk here to watch people, cars and feel the crowded atmosphere. Yet, in my opinion, it's not a place to sit down for a drink or food. It's heavily touristic with high prices and poor quality. If you... More
