ZWF Miami is the only zoo in South Florida with as many animal encounters. We carry more than 20 of exotic species at our facility with many available for interactive activities involving our guests. The five acre zoo houses everything from domestic animals and primates to large predatory birds and mammals. Some of our popular selection of exotic zoo animals are Gibbon Apes, Sloths, Lemurs, owls, snakes, Anteater, Lions, Snow Leopards, and mischievous Capuchin monkeys - like those used in many movies. The Zoological Wildlife Foundation offers intimate tours and private encounters by appointment. Contact us to schedule a special tour with our exotic animals! It's an experience you will never forget. Tours must be prepaid and booked in advance in order to guarantee your desired date and time. DIRECTIONS: Please use these directions. Not like a normal zoo, and it shouldn't be for the price. But how awesome to be able to interact with all of those animals. We paid extra for the tiger cub photo. Well worth it. Only downside - a fair way out of the city. We paid basically about $200 in taxi fares to get there and back and... More

A great day out and a one off experience. It was extraordinary to hold owls, emus and monkeys as part of our tour, as well as hugging a wolf! We were also given the opportunity to feed the monkeys and camels kept on the grounds. We paid extra to hold a 3 week old baby tiger, which was great, but... More

We visited in May, and did the tour plus the tiger encounter. The whole experience was incredible, and the highlight of our trip to Miami. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and we were able to see lions, tigers, monkeys, anteaters and many more. During the tour we were able to feed camels and monkeys. We were then able... More

The experience of handling exotic animals - we had a chance to pet and hold pythons, owls, baby kinkajou, guinea pigs, baby gator, and two different species of young monkeys - was certainly great and unique. The kids and myself were very excited. But I do think the place is overrated and overpriced. The facility is small and remote, there... More

If you are in south Florida and love animals you simply must not pass up the opportunity to visit the Zoological Wildlife Foundation. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, the animals are extremely well cared for, and you can tell every staff member has a true love for animals. Our guide, Andrea, was beaming with excitement the entire... More

We liked this place. Our tour with Jason was great. Meeting a baby tiger was a highlight. The pricing is the only reason why i didnt give this place 5 stars. If you have the money, you'll have fun for sure!

My girlfriend and I took the general tour (~$85 per person with tax). I think they should have spent 5 minutes about the history of the place. So much of Miami was built up due to drugs (at one time the Federal Reserve bank in Miami took in more deposits that all other US banks combined). Also, it rained during... More

This is a NOT TO MISS attraction for all animals lovers. We already want to go back. We visit an animal sanctuary in every city we travel to on vacation. This one is the best one that we have ever visited. Janise was a great guide and very knowledgeable. My sons loved it. My teenage son was thrilled for chance... More

Indeed, it's so sad but true there are only 30 Amur leopards left in the wild. We are working very hard to help critically endangered species by educating the public and raising awareness. From one animal lover to another, we would like to thank for your wonderful review and hope you will have the opportunity to come back and visit... More
