We came to the design district expecting a few hours of browsing through design shops. The whole area seems to be under construction, with shops randomly open amongst the construction sites. It felt abandoned and we didn't see any other people around. The shops that are there are pretty main stream, with nothing new or exciting on offer. 25 minutes... More

There are some nice stores but many empty storefronts. The few stores were nice and shop keepers nice but just not worth the visit/cab ride. Lots of construction. Maybe In a couple of years it will good.

The design district has evolved over the last few years. The furniture stores and designer stores were always expensive even 10 years ago. It's not a must but Miami (and not the beach) are really growing and entertaining.

actually, not bad...its visual pop corn! maybe on the sweet side...a few blocks worth of recently retouched old buildings (not Art Deco) but worth a few hours of walking time, and shows off Miami aspiration as a World Class city for the Elite @ Shopping...much better choice, close by and LOTS to do is Wynwood

Nice to be able to see the architecture up close and in many instances near original condition - love the colors. Would have liked to take a guided tour but did it on our own, which was fine.

The design district of Miami is an interesting and enjoyable walk to take , different to South Beach there seems more locals here and less tourists.

We visited on a Saturday after reading in our rough guide that this was a good area to visit. It was quite strange, some of the surrounding area was pretty run down and intimidating. The design district itself was just a load of over priced stores - I was expecting it to be like shoreditch in London, full of independent... More

We had so much fun that I had to take time to say how great it was. We will always come back to such a great location. So much to see that we must come back to see the rest.

The Miami Design District is going through major construction and revtalization. In the 70's , 80's was the home of Miam's Interior Designers. When DECOTA open in Dania most designers left the area. But today is becoming the new "Lincoln Road" pedestrian friendly shopping destination. All top fashion houses are opening world reknown stores. Such as Hermes, Gucci, Rolex, etc. New... More

Brilliant Graffiti art works here, I would definitely see it if you are around, even if you are not a graffiti enthusiast, you'll be delighted with the brilliant work of art. Highly recommend it
