If you like to browse among very expensive designers décor stores: this is the place! Very eclectic mix, you will find good restaurants, galleries, clothing stores, etc. You can have a nice lunch and walk around, buy a dress or a couch… all within a couple of blocks… This area Is very Miami, and has a special vive, worth the... It stays in midtown and you can reach easily by bus. there are not many stores but the ones you will find are the best in design and modernity. You wont find bargains but it is most as a trendy design museum visit.. wear a confy shoes

If I had written this in 2011 I would have given the review an extra star , since my last visit some of the units have now swapped over to very high end fashion/accessories/shoes. How many branches of Loui Vuitton does a city need ? The Hermes store is gorgeous but like the other stores seemed to lack the lifeblood... More

All the design shops in a centralized location. Great for walking and browsing - all major design brands and many art galleries

I am baffles as to how the Design District has changed over the last few years. When I first started shopping it a few years ago, it was so unique and personable. The shops were aesthetic and many were run by local proprietors. Many of my old haunts have closed, and it's becoming a bland, universally recognized playground for people... More

Great deals on fashionable clothing 1 of kind pieces. It was great to walk to individual stores unlike the mall. Some items were bulk. We were able to witness distributors & how they negotiate prices to stock their stores interesting!

Lived in MIA for 5 years now. Maybe it's because I'm originally from NYC that I don't get this place. It's nice to drive/walk through for a minute, but for being an arts/culture-hipster-zone-ish area it's a ghost town. Yawn.

It amazes me how this district has changed in the last years and not in a good way. When I first visited it five years back it was all about architectural design with smaller shops and displays and a few cute restaurants tucked in. Now the feeling is that of being in a sort of Rodeo Drive Corp. mall atmosphere.... More

This is not an easy place to navigate and find what you want. Store are spread out over a few blocks and they tend to turn over quickly. I suggest driving around the streets first to see what there is before you park. It can be a bit of a walk between good stores without much interesting along the way.... More
