It's up and coming! For designers it's a great area to do all your shopping plus they have cool little restaurants to enjoy. $$$ It's also really close to Target =)

Every store in this area is expensive...for no reason. Restaurants, design places, etc...

Maybe we didn't do enough exploring. Some of the shops are wonderful and the people lovely but we just found the design district a little average. We thought it would be comparable to other places in the US we have loved but it didn't match up.
