Our grown children have season passes and every year what they ask for Christmas is The Lemur Experience at Jungle Island. It's BIG & there is a lot to see and experience. I like the bird show!

Jungle Island has come along way from when it was just Parrot Jungle. We're not talking the San Diego zoo here, but it is a real oasis for being just across the bay from downtown Miami. For a family of four it is a bit pricey, but ignore that and you will have a fun time with the kids.

We decided to take a day off the beach to visit Jungle Island. We really weren't sure what to expect. We were hoping, considering the expensive tix, that it was going to be more than a zoo. It was definitely more than a zoo. The ability to be so close to squirrel monkeys, tropical birds, kangaroos, etc. was unique and... More

It was ok experience. I think certain things such as the kangaroo encounter should be included in the price. The shows were quite good. School groups visit this attraction so if you during the week be prepared for hundreds of kids at every show and encounter. At least the staff doing the shows seemed quite friendly!

Over the Thanksgiving weekend we revisited Jungle lsland. The place used to be called Parrot Jungle and while they still displays many parrots, there also are many other animal presentations. You get very close and personal with all types of monkeys, birds, snakes Oranagatngs and farm animls. There are hourly wildlife shows in small stadiums. The staff is friendly and... More

Enjoyed Jungle Island, did not know that there were so many types of parrots. Relaxing place to take children but may be slightly overpriced.

Some of my earliest memories are from Parrot Jungle, so I had high expectations for Jungle Island. I chose to view the experience through the lens of my 15 month old son's eyes, and based on that perspective, the expectations were met and exceeded. I l thoroughly enjoyed myself, as well. We were fortunate to have long discussions with the... More

We went on Thanksgiving Day with our grandchildren, ages 5 and 2. It was a delightful experience. The park - from the welcome with live parrots and crocs - to the shows (the winged bird show is amazing) - to the general wander around atmosphere and the liger (the largest cat in the world) was a perfect day trip with... We were here Thanksgiving Day 2011 and had the place almost to ourselves. It was a gorgeous day also. We did the private lemur tour with Melissa who was an exceptional guide. It was lots of fun, but I was a little bit intimidated by all the jumping, noise, and spraying. You will smell like a lemur when you leave.... More
