We went to Jungle Island this past Saturday when they were having an event in conjunction with the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Fortunately we had discount coupons, because even with those we didn't feel we got our money's worth - regular admission was over $30. They grab you at the entrance to have pictures taken with the animals,... More

For the $30 plus ticket price you get to walk past lots of birds. If you're a bird enthusiast then its worth it. Lots of parrots, canaries, cockatoos, macaws, flamingos and such. In between are jungle like flora, but no wow factor, just most of the same bushes and trees. The few other attractions, about 20% of the park, include... More

What a beautiful, peaceful way to spned a day. The landscaping here is lovely and you get to see a wide array of monkeys, parrots , etc.

I was not impressed with how this place literally charges for everything. You think when you pay to get in that all the attractions are included with admission but not here. Many additional attractions you must pay for to get in. NO Pictures are allowed if you want to hold any animals and you are forced to dish out $40... More

Lots of animals, birds, including 20 minute shows in a tropical setting with a great bay view. A great place to take kids and walk around . Food for purchase. Private party rooms with good catering, too.

Did the VIP tour today with my parents and 5 yr. old daughter. Lemurs danced on our heads, and baby monkeys snuggled us. Ryan our trainer/guide was so phenomenally knowledgeable and the VIP tour is worth every penny. My elderly parents said this was the most amazing thing they have ever done in their lives! My daughter loved it and... More

We didn't tour the jungle area. But we went for a reception and dinner in the evening. Reception outside and perfect weather. They brought out a baby kangaroo (aaawww), baby alligator (again aaawww as long as they're small!), a a gorgeous blue parrot, and a yellow boa that scared the heck out of me - I'm phobic about snakes. The... More

On a recommendation, we took our 1 year old to this nature preserve. Luckily we were able to use one of our friend's season passes, but almost $40 for an adult to get it--crazy, right? The grounds arent large and are easily walkable with plenty of shade. The animals are beautiful and tons of birds just out in the open... More
