Miami and South Florida in general is lacking on attractions for families. Jungle Island charges a premium for 2 to 3 hours of entertainment. It's got a great location with room for expansion. They need to add a water park or theme rides; something else to justify the ticket, parking and food costs. Additionally no one was very friendly. We... More

We went on the VIP tour with Ryan as our guide, and the kids will never forget it. I had a 13 year old and 8 year old; it was totally appropriate for both. I've never done a tour like it before, but when we return to Miami, we'll be sure to make it a part of the travel plan.... More

Entrance per adult 42 dollar and 8 dollar to park your car. We visited all the shows which where nice but that's all, the park is small and all the videos you can find on youtube are fake.... or...... you'll have to pay 240 dollar per person to get a private tour.... (NO WAY!) So my advise is, stay away... More

Jungle Island is the newly reconstituted Parrot Jungle. It's a good spot for families. It is very clean and has interesting exhibits and displays and has become more of a zoo than one would imagine. They have tigers, penguins, and even a kangaroo petting zoo which was a new one on me. Their shows are good and a little wacky... More

We just spent a beautiful April day at Jungle Island. The grounds are gorgeous, with waterfalls, palm trees & exotic plants there are so many great places for pictures. The parrots and birds, turtles, frogs, koi, flamingos, lions tigers and monkeys are everywhere. My kids had a ball feeding and talking to the parrots and birds. They also got to... More

The big cat show was not interesting. It was more like being preached at for a half hour and the biggest animal was a wolf.

The staff is incredibly welcoming, warm, and informative. The animals are fascinating and there is the most beautiful cheetah I have ever seen seriously! My boyfriend and I could not have been... Beautiful birds, great bird show, other shows are not as impressive, but all is fun here. Its not a zoo and not a huge place but you see plenty of beautiful birds and other animals - grounds are well landscaped and mostly shaded but still wear your sun block since this is south Florida. check the internet or various tourist... We did the lemur experience here and it was one of the most awesome experiences that I have ever had in my life. The idea that you get to interact with the animals was just so cool.
