Some of my earliest memories are from Parrot Jungle, so I had high expectations for Jungle Island. I chose to view the experience through the lens of my 15 month old son's eyes, and based on that perspective, the expectations were met and exceeded. I l thoroughly enjoyed myself, as well. We were fortunate to have long discussions with the... More

We went on Thanksgiving Day with our grandchildren, ages 5 and 2. It was a delightful experience. The park - from the welcome with live parrots and crocs - to the shows (the winged bird show is amazing) - to the general wander around atmosphere and the liger (the largest cat in the world) was a perfect day trip with... We were here Thanksgiving Day 2011 and had the place almost to ourselves. It was a gorgeous day also. We did the private lemur tour with Melissa who was an exceptional guide. It was lots of fun, but I was a little bit intimidated by all the jumping, noise, and spraying. You will smell like a lemur when you leave.... More

My wife made me go with her, & boy was I glad I went. It's small enough, so you don't have to walk forever to see everything. There are things there that I've never seen in any other zoo. We were able to see all three shows with no problem. Sit at the top, middle for the bird show. They... More

This attraction is a bit pricey - $60.00 for one adult and one child - but worth it. Tons of animals, lots to do, interactive, interesting for children and adults, and very safe. Lots of shows, too!!

I visited this place with my wife and we both had a great time. We did the lemur experience which was a little scary, they jump all over you and mark you with their scent. The Manu was cool where little monkeys run free. The best part was being able to hold a baby white tiger cub. A little expensive,... More

I visited jungle island and was horrified that animals have to live like this. It was pouring down with rain and all the birds were sitting out in the rain. A bird named Marty who is totally blind had what looked like a seizure. I later asked someone that works there and found out he had a stroke. The tiger... More

This is a really nice place and easier to manage than a large zoo. There isn't a large variety of animals but the ones that they do have a well maintained and you are able to get great pictures of them. Before you even start touring the place, you get a chance to hold parrots, a baby money and a... More
