This is a two hour walking tour through a humble but lively neighborhood, a kaleidoscope of culture, traditional customs, and vivid colors. Weave in and out of streets that mark the site of secret ritual offerings, the very location where the Bay of Pigs was planned, and the fountain of youth called Dominoe Park. Sample pure sugar cane juice from a local fruit market, the classic Cuban Sandwich at family restaurant, and watch cigar rollers follow a decades-old technique to create the finest cigars.

We enjoyed our tour with Christine. She is well informed and lively if a bit distractable and scattered. The history is very interesting and meeting some of the locals was fun. We had a few samplings along the way ending with an authentic Cuban lunch.

Took this tour on a bright sunny Sunday morning. Includes food tasting. Only suggestion is that we would have liked a little more walking around the area, and could have cut the very very long history diatribes in half. Spent a full 1/2 of the time listening to monologues at 4 memorial statues. The other half spend walking around and... More

I had a fun and informative tour with our lively guide Christine. The insights into the life of the Cuban community in Miami were both educational and entertaining. Highly recommended.

There were two of us on the tour who were Cuban-Americans, arriving in the US in 1960. One of us has always lived in the greater Little Havana neighborhood and other in the Northeast. We both had reservations about having a non Cuban American tour guide, and were proven wrong. Flavia was an excellent tour guide-knowledgeable, open to questions/discussion and... More

The tour with Flavia was rated #5. We went on a very sunny day in November of 2015. Our tour guide, Flavia, was well informed and shared her knowledge and understanding which was much appreciated. She was friendly and always a smile throughout the tour. More than willing to answer any questions we had. A great person, wonderful personality and... More

I just returned from a visit to Cuba with Global Volunteers. Prior to leaving my friend booked us on a tour of Little Havana in Miami. Flavia was our tour guide and she was absolutely great. Her knowledge of Miami Cubans , the Bay of Pigs etc. was astounding. She even knew what kind of Cuban cigars Kennedy ordered before... More

If you want to see (and experience) Miami's Little Havana, skip the bus tour and head straight for this excellent walking tour of Calle Ocho. Our tour guide, Flavia was interesting and knowledgeable. My husband and I took the tour with our teenage son. Flavia was great about pointing things out that were of interest to all of us. In... More

Today we had the great pleasure of visiting Little Havana with our superb guide Flavia, and it was not only exotic and historically interesting, but also culturally stimulating and very entertaining. All in one! The tour itself was great, the history told by Flavia excellent, the stops and visits to the different store very well selected. Timing was perfect and... More

My tour guide, Ralphie was so informative and knowledgeable and the tour was fantastic!!! the portion sizes were satisfying and I simply enjoyed everything about the tour. Please go with an empty stomach! Our tour was over in 3 hours and our group was small(5) which made it even better!!!

This was an outstanding tour and something different to do while in the Miami area. Part history, part culture, part current events - not only do you experience the food, drink, and commerce of the Cuban community, you learn something! Our tour guide was fabulous - I highly recommend Flavia. We stayed in the area after the tour and went... More
