Description: This is a two hour walking tour through a humble but lively neighborhood...
This is a two hour walking tour through a humble but lively neighborhood, a kaleidoscope of culture, traditional customs, and vivid colors. Weave in and out of streets that mark the site of secret ritual offerings, the very location where the Bay of Pigs was planned, and the fountain of youth called Dominoe Park. Sample pure sugar cane juice from a local fruit market, the classic Cuban Sandwich at family restaurant, and watch cigar rollers follow a decades-old technique to create the finest cigars.

Flavia proved an excellent guide and my fiancée and I enjoyed a thoroughly detailed and relaxed tour through Little Havana. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was superb and this is surely the only way to explore the area rather than on a big tour bus! The food was excellent and certainly worth the tour money. This is a must do tour!!!

My wife and I went on Flavia's tour last week and really enjoyed it! She was friendly and very knowledgeable. The tour covers a good balance of history, culture, and food. I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn move about Little Havana and Cuban American History.

Someone said Flavia was the best…and they were right. We particularly enjoyed the lunch at the restaurant at the end of the tour. We also touted the tour to our friends back here in Evanston, IL, telling them it is a must-do event the next time they’re in Miami.

Did this tour with my 17 year old daughter. Turned out to be just the 2 of us and although it was very hot that day, Flavia made sure that we found lots of shade and were suitably hydrated! Lots of interesting history and cultural information about Cuba, Little Havana and the people who live and work there. A few... More

The price of the tour includes lunch - a hearty one that offers meat, so a vegetarian salad was nicely ordered. We enjoyed the walk more than the history. When asked if we were interested in Cuban history, we said yes but didn't expect it to be so detailed. After 40 minutes we suggested moving on. This is really enjoyable;... More

Flavia was so knowledgeable about all of the history and politics associated with Little Havana. She was such an interesting person and really made the tour. She knew the people and the inside stories. The tour ended with a lunch that was delicious!

We started the morning before the tour with breakfast at the super mercado across the street from the Bay of Pigs monument. The breakfast was unbelievably inexpensive and very good. But share the breakfast as you will want to end the walking tour with a hearty appetite. Flavia provided a very good historic background of the Cubans from the time... More

Did a private tour (two people) with Christine on a 4 day visit to Miami. She was great, knew her stuff and shared it with us. Heard about the history, sampled some Cubian juices and food, the lunch at the end was substantial, and even got to buy some modest Cuban art and cigars along the way. A great introduction... More

We had a fantastic time with Flavia who expertly dissected the different aspects of life for the past and present Cuban and wider Hispanic community, in little Havana. We would highly recommend, especially for the food! Thanks Flavia! Lauren and Jenny
