I traversed the mangroves in a dinghy, cruising through this tropical paradise as if negotiating a river of salt water. Although Oleta is located in central north Miami it's carefully and creatively hidden from sight and humans. The land portion offers hiking, biking and picnicing so you'll see others there. Great clean place. I enjoy coming here occasionally and kayaking, fishing or just getting some fresh air.

Best place in Miami to go Kayaking! The views are awesome and the prices for kayaking are beyond reasonable :)

Nice place however they should have more options for watercraft rentals (jet skis, boats etc) also water skiing would be nice. Would definitely recommend to friends (I already did).

Liked: All in one for a great day in the Park. Disliked: Bring your bike, refreshments and even you kayak or else renting these might hit your wallet.

We came down for a day to explore Miami but we're not really city people and were really glad to get away from all the people. A canoe for the three of us was perfect, with plenty of inlets well worth exploring. It was very peaceful and serene. We thought we'd be here for the minimum hour and a half... More

Oleta is a long time State park favorite of mine that my family and I have been going to for years. I go for the great mt. bike courses. They recently added another large section of more courses. The area now covers a major part of the park with many different courses and gives you the feeling of being out... More

We recent took guests to Kayak here, and had a great time! Beautiful passageways through mangroves, an island to paddle out to, lots to see, and a good workout! Two pieces of advice -- take a good look at the map before starting, and try to keep it in some type of dry bag, as it basically dissolves as you... More
