This place is great for the outdoors types. I've been bike riding and kayaking with my own equipment. They also rent those things and more. The waterways wind their way out into the inter-coastal and the bike trails take you through the woods and camping sites. There are many things to do. It's very inexpensive especially if you go during... More

This wilderness enclave ensconced in an urban environment is a welcome getaway from the city. It offers hiking paths, bicycle trails, and kayaking waterways. I spent a most enjoyable afternoon with my two sons kayaking in rented boats.

This state park has a bit of everything - camping, 15 miles of Mountain Bike trails, canoe, kayak and Stand-up Board rentals, beaches, snorkeling, etc. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day out in the sunshine, on the water or on bike trails.

Stopped by from Fort Lauderdale for 2 hour kayaking trip (about $37 per hour for a 2 person open seat kayak). Nice bay and mangrove canals. Visited small island nearby. Most impressive was the support from the staff around the marginal weather, variable winds, and best way to approach the outing. They gave great guidance and accurate predictions and it... More

We came here twice to stand-up paddleboard during Thanksgiving week and had a wonderful time. Very nice trails through mangrove stands that have lots of wildlife. There is a large, semicircular beach that one can easily reach by paddling. $6 per car to enter.

Great park if you want to walk, bike, riding kayak or even just enjoy beach without waves. Only $2 entrance fee per person, few dollars per car. They have few natural and handmade bike routes for different skill levels, and long kayak routes - we rented kayak for 2 hours and didn't see half of it. Beware of mosquitos, prepare... More

I've gone kayaking, fishing and swimming here and love it! The sand is free of garbage & glass (which is huge for me bc i have a niece & nephew) & the trails to go kayaking offer a nice change of view. Must Try!

I have no words to express how cool is this park. You can rent a kayak, swim at the bay, ride a bicycle (great mountain bike trails), go fishing, suntan, make a barbecue, explore the mangrove canals and trail, you name. A MUST.
