For some bizarre reason, Miami is not generally regarded as an "outdoors" activity place the way, e.g., San Diego, is. People just go to the beach and sit there. It's a shame. Miami is one of the most naturally beautiful places in the U.S. It's getting harder and harder to see. Do yourself a favor. Get off your butt and... more

On our recent trip to Florida, my husband and I visited Oleta State Park. We rented bikes and kayaks for a very reasonable cost, biked and hung out on the beach. It was a great time, very picturesque and you can't beat the costs. It was a very relaxing place to spend 3 hours on our vacation! more

In Feb, my husband, 10 year old son and I had a few days and decided to go camping in Florida.
