Our kids, ages 10, 8, 6, enjoyed this science center. Free with an ASTC membership, we spent a long afternoon here. Planetarium is included in admission. Kids like the coral reef and having their hands cleaned by shrimp, the animals outside, the computers, the items around the big tire. They have plans to expand and it looks like it will... More

Coming from Vancouver, I am a little bit spoiled by Science World which is world class as far as science centers go... But I thought the museum was worth a visit. It's not huge and it's a bit confused (I wonder if the animal exhibits were a marketing decision to try and bring in more visitors because pure science wasn't... More

This is our second time visiting the Miami Science Museum. We hadn't planned to go, but it looked like rain and, on a whim, we decided to make a return visit. WE LOVE THIS MUSEUM! My oldest child said he liked it even better than our local science museum even though our own science museum is newer and fancier (note,... More

Apart from the excellent hands on exhibits and the planeterium show, there is a surprise around the corner with a mini zoo incorporating pythons, boa constrictor displays and an outdoor natural habitat for other animals. The place is getting a little shabby, but for the price is an excellent way to spend a couple of hours learning many scientific facts... More

I took our curious 8 year old son to the museum and we were totally absorbed for over 5 hours. The staff were enthusiastic, knowlegible and pitched their delivery perfectly. The interactive exhibits were engaging, varied and focused on having childlike fun. The individual sections were just the right size to impart a good basic knowledge without getting bogged down... There was the potential for some nice exhibits, but I think that the museum might suffer from a lack of funding. I would love to see some donors contribute to help the museum build up

The Miami Science Museum seems a bit outdated and targets young children. We did enjoy the aquarium exhibit. The fish and coral were beautiful.

Our visit to this place was a last minute thing and we do not regret the time we spent here. Rather the planetarium turned out to be an enchanting experience in itself, very romantic too. It was like revisiting our childhood. The place was not very huge but the amount of information we got was. A great place to be.

It is a good place, maybe too much of information for the littler ones, but is a good way to involved our kids with interesting things. The star show is amazing and the laser show is very funny. I definitely recommend Miami Science Museum.

We were very impressed with this science centre. It's very unassuming from the outside but there are lots to see and do inside. It's not huge but there are many shows, including the planetarium during the day that you can spend many hours there. We stayed right until closing and rushed through the last couple of exhibits. We have membership... More
