We had a phenomenal day. I def recommend spenind the extra money and renting a "bike" especially if you have children between 2 - 7 years of age. The Miam Zoo is BIG and there is a lot of walking involved. If you don't rent the bike, be prepared not to see the whole zoo. The "Scoop on Poop" was... More

This is quite possibly my favorite zoo so far! Nearly all the exhibits were habitat style with plenty of room for the animals and creative setups. The animals were able to have places to relax away from the prying eye and there were minimal disruptions. I didn't witness any heckling, it was a calm zoo. There was music throughout the... More

I have been to the Miami Zoo several times and it does not dissapoint. It is $15 for adults, they do offer a AAA discount or you can get a coupon on line. You can rent cycles that will seat up to 6 people and it a great way to see the Zoo and gets the young kids a little... More

First of all, I don't know how anyone could give this zoo a bad rating! It's beautiful, has pretty much every animal you can think of, and it's HUGE! We (2 guys 2 girls, early 20's) arrived at 11am and were probably the last people to leave at 5:30pm and we still didn't see everything. My biggest tip to ANYONE... More

Nice touches for animals like ropes for elephants. Be aware--lots of walking

This zoo was beautiful. It was extremely clean and did not have the usual pungent odor of a zoo. It is very large and covers a lot of ground. We rented a four person bike to venture the grounds at a cost of $32.00 for 2 hours. It sounds like a lot of money but the kids enjoyed it and... More

When we visited Zoo Miami in December, 2010, we were in for an incredible experience! The primary focus of our expedition there was to feed the giraffes— animals that don’t visit our birdfeeder at home! Sure enough, we were able to touch, pet and hand feed beautiful giraffes. This was not only a highlight of our time in Florida, but... More

I went to the Miami Zoo with my family over the Christmas break. I was on my way to Monkey Jungle and was advised to go to the Zoo instead. I read the positive reviews on Trip Advisor and thought it must be great. What a disappointment. The animals were old and inactive. The monorail was in disrepair and slow.... More

Went to the zoo yesterday and had a great time. Entry fee was $15.95 for adults minus $1 off that for AAA members. I think this was an appropriate price. Almost all of the animals were out except for the baby hippo due to the freak freezing weather going on in Florida. The zoo is pretty big and now that... More

In years gone by, I have not been a fan of zoos - I prefer to see animals in the wild. If they can't live in the wild, this is the next best place. It has big, roomy areas for all the animals. It's really almost a cage-free zoo, which I like. It is vast and takes at least 3... More
