Now that we live in the area, we have to travel south from Viera to go to a rock-free beach. This is the closest. There are lifeguards on duty, showers, and usually plenty of parking..unless you go around 12 or 1 on the weekends. Shaded areas and picnic tables in the parking area.

This is a great beach area with clean facilities. When toting kids to the beach a clean restroom and shower is important. We've seen sea turtles here in the summer. The only drawback is the chance of walking on the rocks in the ocean.

I like this beach. It has everything you need for a nice day at the beach. It has 5 dune crossovers, seasonal lifeguards, a food concession, and a sand volleyball court :)

We brought our kids here about everyday and it was a good place to mingle with other parents and let the kids run off some energy.

Always busy, sand is rough, too many rocks. Either go farther south or farther north for better beaches and less people.

Family oriented, laid back beach. Loved the turtle nests that showed up every morning and enjoyed walking and shelling too!

Go there every day cause its a block away. Great playground for the kids when they want something more than the beach. Volley ball courts, beach with lifeguards, Good fishing and surfing outside of guarded areas. Find it be be well kept. They even have a concession stand now. LOVE IT.
