Its a little nature drive where you can see wadding birds, alligators and more. If you love to take photos of birds this place is a good one.

You can drive through these wetlands or park and walk. We saw alligators, turtles and numerous spieces of birds. It is a free activity and only 5 minutes from the Brevard Zoo. Highly recommended

The wetlands consist of four shallow, man-made marshes surrounding a deep lake. Pedestrians, vehicles, and bicyclists all share the dirt roads that encompass the marshes. The roads form an outside loop, an inner loop around the lake, and two connecting roads. All traffic moves one-way. Great bird diversity. Alligators and snapping turtles. Binoculars are a must. So close to housing... More

Amazing little wildlife refuge. I'm not a professional birdwatcher by any means. But enjoyed the area and the many many different birds that we saw. The wetlands were beautiful. Took tons of photos of birds and alligators. Very glad we dropped by while visiting this area.

I was expecting something more remote. You are pretty close to shopping and houses. You can drive or walk through the 'wetlands', which really seem to be man made retention ponds. We did see wildlife though, so I guess we got what we came for. This would be a good place to go for someone who has trouble walking, but... More

I imagine this is a bird watchers paradise. It was cool to drive through, although somewhat boring for small kids

This lovely area of nature and birds has been taken over by an increase of speeding cars. It used to be quiet and overfilled with much wildlife. Now, hundreds of cars drive through and are destroying it. It is easy to understand that wildlife does not like speeding loud cars. It should only be open to cars 1-2 days a... More

We are not from Florida, but if you live close to this beautiful place and haven't visited it you are missing out on a gem. We went there on a lark. It turned out to be a great find. Observed many different types of native birds. We saw two alligators up close and personal, luckily they were small and not... More

One of the best kept secrets of the Viera area. Take your camera and lenses and go on a drive through photo safari.

I love the fact that they took the run off and holding ponds for the local sewage treatment plant and use them to provide a clean area for wildlife to thrive. Alligators, birds and fish fill the ponds and there is a road that runs thru-out tje wet lands with ample benches to sit and watch or just pull over... More
