Spring Training for Washington Nationals

Went to Melbourne specifically to watch The Nats. Be careful of the sun, but go if you love baseball

We went to see the Mets plays the Nationals for one of their last preseason games. It's a nice and quaint stadium, probably needs some updating as many minor league stadiums are more impressive. Food was OK, crowd was dead. Parking is close enough, typical walk for a game like that. Not too bad getting out of the stadium as... More

This minor league and spring training stadium is an average Grapefruit League/Florida League experience except for one major flaw: it was built to face directly into the blazing Florida sun! Fair-skinned people should be aware that afternoon games involve almost every seat directly facing the sun, with accompanying glare, heat, and sunburn. A few upper-row seats on either side of... Every seat is a good one. $4 dollar hot dogs and $7 beers are a little pricey but definitely cheaper than at Nationals Park. Parking is $9, no choice. Most of the seats are in the sun, so slather on the sunscreen, especially if you are coming down from the north.

We came for a National's spring training game. We sat in section 217 first row so we were happy. Good view of field. It was expensive day though. $9 to park. $4 hot dogs and $7 beers. All in all it was a fun day.

Great experience, seats very affordable, and you get a feel for how the team is shaping up! We did need to get up to get some shade as it was hot, but it was a short walk.

We attend one spring training baseball game each year. Space Coast Stadium is the best, It is always clean, there is plenty of parking, comfortable seats, and an excellent view of the field from section 206 row 17 between 3rd base and home. They make a passable hot dog, but the fries are always cold; get chips instead. Parking is... More

Once again Washington Nationals bleeding their fans dry before leaving them high and dry in Viera. $9 for parking, $9 for beer, $9 for anything else under the sun--yes SUN, NO SHADE at this dump.

Unlike other teams spring training parks, I was able to watch the Nats practice for almost 2 hours prior to the game. I got to the parks early to get good parking. I was parked next to the practice field adjacent to the playing field. I've been to many other spring training parks across Florida and this was very fan... More

I drove down from Daytona Beach on a recent Saturday as my wife was attending a seminar at the Hilton. I have been to most of the stadiums on the west coast of Florida and find most of them more appealing than this one. The park is a little bland without much atmosphere. Recommend that you allow some extra time... More
