An important aspect of this zoo is that there is lot's of shade! In additional to the zoo there is a nice water play area for small kids, a climbing/play area, and a petting zoo. Great family outing.

We were an extended family (grandparents, adult children, and a toddler) and everyone enjoyed the day. The zoo is neither too large nor too small, and there is something for everyone. We all appreciated the photo ops as well as the adequate bench seating throughout the park.
We read the other reviews and visited the Brevard Zoo today? I agree with all the positive comment. It's not an impossibly long walk. The kids and we adults enjoyed it. It was free for me on Mother's Day, too. Definitely worth the short drive (18 miles or less depending on the route you take).
Alot to see, especially the giraffes and aviary. All animals were out for viewing and it is an easy walk
The Zoo is not overwelmingly huge. Nice size. Lots of animals. The childrens section is perfect. Built by volunteers. Very pleasant staff
We had a great time hanging with the kids and learning about the local wild life along with seeing all the big African animals.
Me and my wife found this zoo on the internet and decided to go along for the day. So many animals to interactive with a view. It was such a lovely day out. I would say that it's great to take the kids along as they have lots of games, puzzles and activities for them including the tree walk.

We loved this zoo! Take the kayak tour! It is so cool! Picture viewing a giraffe at the level of a kayak. So much fun. Our guide Tom was very nice to talk to.
The food is really good! I had the best wrap. Watch out for the squirrels. They will climb right up your leg to get to your...

This zoo is nice. Not over-done like most "commercial" zoo's. They offer zip-line packages, older children are $48 for 3 hours and that includes a course they have to go through and it's all done in the trees. It looked really cool so we're going back for my sons 12th birthday. For $6 you can take a kayak around the...

We just came home from the zoo and had a wonderful time there. The staff is friendly, the animals look well-tended, and the setting is beautiful. There were quite a few animal babies, which made it very interesting. Until later this month, the sand sculptures are still there, too - worth the extra $4 to see, for sure. You can...
