I saw some people riding around, checking nests in the mornings, and got curious. We drove to the Sea Turtle Preservation Society, and learned a lot about sea turtles (like how HUGE they are, wow!). They were also rehabilitating a little guy, and they let us take a look at him. Very cute. You can also buy sea turtle related... More

We stopped in and were so surprised at all the information and the beautiful hands on display. Well worth your time, very well done and they have a wonderful little gift shop!

This is basically a small store with information available about the sea turtle. In between the gifts for purchase, you will find some displays. There are no live sea turtles here for viewing, as one family with small kids came in and were expecting to see. We were here during the winter, so I am not sure if this place... More

This is a great volunteer staffed education center for various types of sea turtles and other marine life. There are several interactive displays and two aquariums with seahorses, fish, crabs and other critters. A small gift shop has a variety of books, toys and other marine themed merchandise. The center has periodic lectures and guided activities on the beach. Volunteers... More

My family and I had a wonderful experience while staying in Melbourne Beach. A volunteer for the Sea Turtle Preservation Society was checking out the turtle nests on the beach and found a baby Leatherback sea turtle. She made a point of gathering some people who were on the beach, so we could see and hold the baby turtle. My... More

This attraction is free, but they accept donations. You can learn a great deal about the turtle habitat in Florida as well as around the world. They have many displays and video presentations. They had a petting show going on when we visited which was cool. You can also walk around and see their habitat right there on the beach... More

Support the efforts and interest to protect the growth and survival of these little turtle youth. This is their season for birth and recovery to the sea. Protect them, as life and our future world is shown here... be supportive and aware of new life.

We visited Satellite Beach last summer as a family and while there we visited the Sea Turtle Preservation Society and signed up to go on not one but two turtle walks. The pretalk was very informative and educational for children and adults alike. The hardest part was waiting for the turtle to do her part. The first night we had... More
