Description: Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens is the international headquarters for Florida...
Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens is the international headquarters for Florida artist, Leoma Lovegrove and one of the most colorful destinations in the sunshine state. The gallery showcases Lovegrove's original art and it is here where you can step into her techinicolor world of tropical artistic flair and experience the authentic island style life of an artist. Paint your own Florida souviner in her world famous botanical waterfront gardens (Paint and brushes included). Or paint your very own coconut postcard to keep or mail back home (no box needed- mails as is). You can also enjoy homemade ice-cream right out of a real coconut shell and guess what? You can keep the shell and take it back home to remind you of the happy memories you made while visiting one of Florida's most popular historic landmarks. Leoma's private studio and guest cottage is adjacet to the gallery so chances are you see Leoma busy painting a canvas or planting a flower or beating on her drum on the garden stage.

We came here but the place was officially closed. Nevertheless we could walk around while the owner had a painting class to attend to. The art is very creativ and colourful and we really loved the painted coconut postcards. We wish we had more time to spend there. Maybe another time. Definitely a place to visit while in Matlacha.

Very fun gallery in a funky artsy town. Be sure to step outback to the garden and dock to enjoy the bottle fences and trees.

The gallery has beautiful artwork but it is a little pricey except for a few small items. You must take a walk through the garden with which is filled with artwork. Beautiful! They also offer classes.

I loved the day we spent in Matlacha, which is where you'll find Leoma's incredible gallery and garden. You may have heard about Leoma from Beall's stores. She is the best artist I've ever met and enjoyed her art. What an amazing and wonderful story she has. Great little town with boutiques and great restaurant choices. We ate at the Blue... More

Love the colors and creativity the artist uses. She really captures Floridas wildlife in a bright and fun way. The gallery gardens were quirky and creative.

This was certainly the most interesting gallery and / or art shop in this little town. You can find anything you like, but also a lot of 'stuff' one does not necessarily need. However, the temptation is great to shop there! Do not miss when visiting this little town.

I took my brother and his family to Matlacha for some shopping and fun. I have already purchased prints from the Lovegrove Gallery of John Lennon for my son, (an avid Lennon fan) but I never did get anything for myself. I am now the proud owner of a Lovegrove original painting and I am looking to find a house... More

Someone just LOVES the Beatles, because paintings, sketches, and other memorabilia of the Fab Five adorn nearly every room and the remarkable outdoor garden space. The place is just fun. There are lots of pictures, jewelry and other stuff to interest you. If you are looking for affirmation of your (and my) ordinariness, this is not the place. Just enjoy... More
