The only way to get here is by boat or jet ski. There are hurricane damaged, dome shaped structures that were once a home. The sand beneath them has washed away and the gulf is swallowing them up. It has a interesting beach and is a fun place to explore. More

Great mangrove island just south of Marco Island. Accessible by watercraft only. Beach your boat and relax, no problem. About 1/2 mile off the cape is a very small beach that I have heard called Crescent Beach, Shell Island, or the Hump. Very small boomerang shaped island, maybe 50 yards wide, basically composed of shells. Cool place. More

Definitely worth the boat trip to see the beautiful beach and the dome home destroyed by the hurricane More

Friend and I actually stayed here for a few nights when it had running water. It never had air conditioning. It was 1990 I guess. Stayed with grandparents of a good friend. Wow, I can’t believe I just stumbled across this. When I was there the water was 40 ft away from the house you can see where the dock... More

We boat in the area often, we keep our boat in Goodlandm FL. This is a great place to take first time visitors. Dome house is interesting. Great pictures of when it was occupied on the wed. Great shark fishing there they say. You can't get there without a boat, and the shelling is great. Get there before the shelling... More

It was a bit $$$$ for taking two machines, but well worth it. Avi was our guide and was great. We had a fun time, the pictures he took were awesome. I would totally recommend this. More

I have been taking a boat here since about 2000. We stumbled upon it one day and we loved it. When I take people boating for the first time I usually take them to the Cape. The old houses are pretty much gone sans the round cement one, but the nature is as great as it ever was. On any... More

Cape Romano is located about 5 1/2 miles south of Marco Island...the only way there is by sea or air (no landing strips or pads, but I have seen a private chopper land on a nearby sandbar!). The southwestern peninsula and part of the Gullivan Bay side of the island has a great beach, and is used by many a... More
