This beach is beautiful! Not too crowded either. Alot of shells on the sand though, so make sure you wear shoes.

Very big and beautiful beach. It does have a lot of shells by the public entrance but if you walk 5-10 minutes it gets better. No better way to spend a day than at the beach. We went during spring break and it was busy but it never seemed crowded. I cannot wait to go back.

Love how wide the beach is...lots of shells to sift through. Water is clear and the beach is well maintained.

Best way to get to beach is to park at Appolo at the parking for the resturant. go in straight to Bar, get a beer and go down to beach to see the sunset!

Nice beach but you need shoes/sandals to walk it. Very shelly beach…good for shelling if your into that. Nice size waves for body surfing.

This beach on the southern end of Marco Island is wide and has nice white sands. It has pelicans flying over, it has surf, it has people swimming, kite surfing and people shelling. Some porpoises in view. People fishing. Just a beautiful beach. Washrooms are far.

One of the top beautiful white sand beaches, the best we have seen. Marco Island is a well kept island, beach is very well maintained. We also found interesting shops and fun restaurants and bars.

We rode our bikes to South Beach, so we have no complaints about the parking or the walk to the beach. It is a beautiful, white sand wide beach, with LOTS of shells. The water was nice. Unfortunately, within an hour of our arrival, the wind picked up and a storm was brewing. After a quick walk south to the... More

Many have mentioned the $8 parking and too few spaces, as well as the long walk to the restroom. If those don't deter you, you will find a lot of beach, a lot of shelling, some fishing and possibly porpoises in view.

Beware of the speed trap when you cross the bridge and enter Marco Island city limit, the local Marco Island police are lying in wait for you.The locals are aware of the trap so tourists are their only prey. Seems such a shame for them to welcome people with their Speed trap. Beaches are nice, parking is a b--t-ch. (expensive... More
