If you are going to the beach with your family, remember to bring your own umbrella and chairs. There are none available for rent. Parking is also slim, so be patient and plan ahead. You are near Sunset Grill which is great place for food and watching the sunset.

As a permanent resident of Marco Island, I have notice a great increase in congestion over the last few years since being named a top tourist destination. The once pristine beach is becoming more covered with trash, especially in front of the so called resort "pay as ya stay" hotels. The locals and the not so wealthy tourists who frequent... More

Not enough parking for the amount of beach space. Even having the beach parking sticker didn't allow us to park close to south beach. Had to park over a mile away and pay $9 for the day.

Sitting alone on a beach on the holiest day of the Christian year may strike some as sad. I instead made it a pilgrimage. A perfect Florida spring day, mid-80s, sweet breeze, cloudless blue sky and warm Gulf water lapping at the pristine white sand. I brought a picnic, a paperback by Ernest Hemingway, blanket and big sun hat. You... More

This area is beautiful. The beach was busy with a lot of activity to watch or do. The sand was very white and many sea shells. A lot of Florida Fighting Conch shells came in later in the day. Parking is terrible! The parking lot is very small and we couldn't park. As we were driving back done the street... More

Make sure you wear high SPF protection throughout the day. We stayed at a beach front property with its own access but there is apublic access right alongside if you stay elsewhere on the island.

A decent beach. the sand is not perfectly pristine and sugary, it's a mix between shells and powdery sand. But it provided the kids plenty of opportunity to search for shells, but they also could build sandcastles. Even during spring break, the beach was not overcrowded. Our last day, we spotted a few dolphins about 100 yds from shore.

South Beach on Marco Island is one of America's great beaches. It is wide and covered in many spots with sugar sand (if you don't know you simply must experience it) with lots of shelling opportunities and beautiful shore birds. The surf fishing isn't bad either. If you are a beach person you owe it to yourself to experience this... More

Terrble for people who are not staying at a resort. If you are on a day trip from east Florida go to Naples, Marco Island does not want you here. public parking is across a 4 lane street and 1aboit half.a mile hike. Tiger tail beach is the only option But it is horrible unless you are intersted in walking... More

Can't say anything bad about the experience. Easy access, restaurant nearby. This is the place to go if you aren't staying on the beach. Fun!
