Wow!!! An amazing boat trip. The team were just wonderful, a very educational trip with lots of on board activities for children. We saw many dolphins all known to the crew with names and history. Fabulous to see all of the Marco Island residences too. Included in the trip was a visit to a remote island where we embarked to... More

Don't pass this up! A great experience, fun, informative and the dolphins are incredible. Captain Bob and Bob 2 were super fun. It was the best day ever! Would definitely go back.

As with all 'wildlife' tours one goes with an open mind as to what you may or may not see. Our Captain 'Bob' and our Naturalist 'Bob 2' were great. It's really all about how well the naturalist Bob manages the whole tour starting with his spotting skills. Then in partnership with Captain Bob they journey to the most likely... More

This was the highlight of our holiday! We saw plenty of dolphins and lots of other wildlife. The dolphins were playing by diving in and out of the water next to our boat. The children were fully engaged as they had a quiz to complete and also helped to spot the dolphins. It was very educational and they loved checking... More

This was one of the highlights of our whole holiday! This trip was supposed to be more for my children, but we couldn't help getting stuck in! The Captains, Bob and Bob were fantastic and my two daughters loved becoming a helper for the day! The little booklet they can do is a great idea. We all loved looking at... More

I booked this tour based on the overwhelmingly great reviews, news articles, and website touting that Dolphin Explorer is an experience that could "change kids lives." The tour markets itself as not only providing an opportunity to observe dolphins, but also offers an opportunity to engage in research, learn from a naturalist, be provided with a deeper understanding and experience.... This tour deserves all of the great reviews that it has received. You get to see a lot of dolphins and other sea life in addition to having a nice break on a relatively secluded island for shelling. Kids love this but I was particularly interested in the photo and video opportunities for the dolphins. It is really difficult to... More

We enjoyed the tour immensely. It was both fun and educational. The crew and the guide are well trained and professional. The guide was knowledgeable and gave us great information. We  saw dolphins (of course) and were given information on how to identify them, what their habits were, and even their names. This is not just a boat ride but a... More

I was a little hesitant about this trip because it sounded like it could be so scientific that it wouldn't be any fun. I was wrong. Yes, the group who runs the Dolphin Explorer does scientific research, but they document sightings while showing families a great time. My kids received an activity booklet and were encouraged to fill in what... More

A truly memorable excursion aboard the Dolphin Explorer. There is great detail and professionalism that goes into this tour- you notice it from the moment you check in to the moment you step off the boat. It's also incredibly fun! You'll be sitting on a midsize catamaran, with the mid section being shaded and the front of the boat exposed... More
