Lots of fun to wade through the lagoon to the beach. Much different than you are used. Beautiful white sandy beach with tuns of shells to pick through.

Beach is nice and secluded. There is a nice playground and snack shack by the parking lot. Also a lagoon for kayaks, but I would not recommend swimming there. You will see some large birds ( hawk maybe). There is a foot shower on the boardwalk path back to the parking lot. The one downside to this beach is the... More

We ventured to Tigertail Beach on a foggy day in February, hoping it would clear, but it stayed foggy for hours. We started in the flat beach but it was wet and the water murky and unappealing. We crossed the waterway (only up to mid-thigh) to the outer beach but was disappointed in the narrowness of that stretch of beach.... More

Thanks to all the other reviewers, I decided to take a day tip down to Tigertail. I arrived at 9 a.m. to find an empty parking lot. I would tell everyone to get there early and work your way to parking lot 6 if you are not wading across the lagoon. It is still a long walk to the "beach",... More

So I knew about crossing some lagoon before we got there from all other reviews. My imagination was much more wild than the actual crossing....it wasnt too bad and if you go at low tide then totally easy. The beach and shelling made it all worth it. Definitely another Florida gem!

My last trip to Tiger tail beach!! Parking for a walk to lagoon and back cost $8.00 because the small sign next to ticket machine stated you need cash for 1 hour.. Many people used credit card for purchase and only option was all day pass. When we were leaving I gave my all day pass to a couple entering... More

Go early and walk through the reeds, I spent hours exploring the little crabs and bird life. Such fun.

Kind of misleading & confusing. When you get there & walk from the parking lot out onto the beach you are & are not really on Tigertail Beach. You are on the lagoon. To get to the actual beach you must either walk a long distance to go around or "wade through the lagoon". Yes, wade through the lagoon. I'm... More

Beautiful laguna, long walk to the main beach. Long walk is worthwhile though. Beautiful shelling and swimming possibilities.

Spent a fun girls weekend here for the first time. The weather and the shelling couldn't have been more spot on. I wish they would add a tram ride to the gulf beach as this is quite a trek. A ranger we spoke to there suggested we bring it up to the concession manager.
