You need to read up on the beach since there's two ways to access beach. You can to walk through a shallow lagoon or walk 1/2 mile from the parking lot. It's not very practical when you're carrying chairs, umbrella and kids.

Tigertail beach is not a big one. There isn't much beach between the turf and ocean, but don't let that turn you down. Some of my best memories in Florida were there. Now , how do you get to the beach? Trust me, that lagoon is not it, yes there is sand but that is not THE beach. To get... More

Water was a little rough for our visit and the lagoon area was a little gross. Employees were very friendly.

Tigertail Beach was one of the most unique beaches I have seen in Florida. It was very quiet and full of nature. We started our day by being greeted by a very nice and helpful lady at the entrance where you pay $8.00 for a full day pass for all Collier County Beaches. It's a great deal because South Marco... Tigertail Beach is by far, one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. It offers complete solitude and peace. It's a hike to get to the Gulf, but worth every step! Lots of shelling! I could go here everyday and never get bored!

Once you've spotted the short-cut waist high wade across the lagoon to the main beach, you're laughing as the main beach is beautiful white sand for miles. The big bonus is the lack if others on the beach - maybe 20 people in a couple of hundred yards (and that's bear the shortcut entrance). The lagoon has kayak and other... More

If you are wanting to visit the Gulf side this is. It the ideal beach to get to the Gulf. The walk is about 1/2 mile, which can be long with kids and when it is not outside, otherwise a great walk for excericse and to see nature, the lagoon is ideal to seabirds and fish.

Low-key rentals of kayaks, SUP boards...paddle the lagoon and get out to the gulf. Grab lunch at the park's snack hut and eat on the deck. Follow them on Instagram, and they'll do a great job of letting you know about the tides and good times to get out there.

Great beach for finding shells. Turtle nests and a bird sanctuary. The birds were nesting when we were there in June, it was pretty smelly walking past them. Other than that lots of great shells and empty beach for walking. Go early to get the best shells!

Much too far of a walk in the blazing sun. The beach itself is beautiful but the trek to get there is awful, esp with chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.
