Tigertail beach on Marco Island is just oh so beautiful and scenic, complete with Marco's complete cross section of diversity of natural resources. The flora and fauna are well represented. The birds. The turtles. BOBCATS(!) and more fidler crabs than you can count. Everything you CAN'T see (that sees you), the flowers, and mangrove trees. The shells! Oh, the shells!... More

What a great location! Park near the cafe and walk across the lagoon. It was a few minute walk, not quite up to our waist, in very warm water. Then a walk through a trail littered with crabs that go scurrying as you walk buy. The noise they made was amazing. Beautiful birds. Walked about 20 minutes north up the... More

Absolutely beautiful beach - read the positive reviews on here and dismiss the negative drivel! If your after warm clear sea, white sand , uncrowded space, fantastic wildlife then this is the beach. Most of the negative comments are what I would view as real positives - the walk across the lagoon ( my 9 year old loved it and... More

We visited on Saturday 16th August. Bearing in mind it was a Saturday afternoon there were about 12 other people. Beautiful white beach, clear ocean. Definitely worth crossing the lagoon (not as bad as others described). What completed our day was a school of about 6 dolphins coming in within about 50 yards from where we were standing in the... Visited TigerTail beach with my 3 kids (all 2 years of age and under) in August. I would not recommend it with smaller kids or older adults. We stopped, first, at the Tidal Lagoon which was very muddy/mushy on the feet as the tide had just gone out. There was definitely a lot of wildlife and it was a good... More

I'm here with my family often. Some reviews say to go left or south coz its shorter ? The shortest route is across the lagoon ... Ask the beach rental guys who rent sup boards n kayaks .... They have an Ariel map of the whole "PARK" Walking around to the south is literally 4 times the distance ! At... More

The beach isn't bad. It is not loaded with shells as so review sites claim. We did find a couple of nice ones, but it took a lot of searching. The worst part is the mile long hike to the beach. My daughter wondered why the parking lot wasn't bigger. That's because no one who knows better would park there.... More

My family of four which includes a tween and a child loved Tigertail Beach! The beach was quiet, clean, and had beautiful white sand. My kids loved finding sand dollars on the multiple sand bars. We also saw two Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins. You do have to walk/hike with your beach equipment a mile from the public access parking. Be sure... More

The tigertail beach is quite a walk from the parking place, having to cross a bay, which is by the way a nice experience. There are crabs all over the place, and once on the beach the water is nice and shallow, with beautifull shells. There is no shadow there, so don't go there when it is too hot, but... More

Tigertail Beach has a lagoon and then a walkway to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. If you do not want to carry your items above your head and walk through the lagoon then you should park at the far end of the parking lot (southern end) so that your walk around the water is shorter. It takes 10-15... More
