The beach is way too wide

I'm from Florida, and I've been to beaches in Puerto Rico, too. No beach I have ever been to is naturally this wide. The beaches at Marco Island are at least half a mile wide. It feels like walking in a desert. This is really a bad beach. The beach is nice once you get to the water, which is... More

Tigertail Beach offers a number of great amenities--there is a cafe that sells food, snacks, beer and wine, a great playground for kids, sandy shores, and there is a stand on the beach where you can rent kayaks, paddleboats, and paddleboards. There are also bathrooms located near the cafe/playground. My husband and I rented kayaks and explored the lagoon, lots... More

Whenever our kids visit, they want to go to Tigertail. We all enjoy the walk across the lagoon to the outer beach. Larger waves, lots of shells, almost feels like a deserted piece of paradise!

The sand is really shells or parts of shells, but very white with cool, clean water in the "uncrowned" part of Marco Island. Great way to spend at least half a day . Note parking is $8, but worth it if you like a beach environment.

it is totally artficial. it was created out of nothing about two decades ago of limited shoreline contiguous to an abandoned army Nike base. I have watched it evolved since 1986. today however as a result of technology that can suck sand off the ocean bed and placed up contiguous to the original shoreline the current beach exists. there is... A great place to enjoy the sand, paddle boarding, kayaking and much, much more. Stop at the kiosk for all the options..they're great. Work up an appetite and enjoy a bite at the cafe….you won't regret the experience. Kids need some time out of the sun a great playground is steps from the beach.

Long long long walk from left side parking lot. Great shelling and ample space for privacy. The first area is a lagoon with a snack bar, playground, bathrooms and close to the right parking lot. There is no need to cross the lagoon carrying your things. The left side lot has rest rooms and a boardwalk but you still walk... More

Early morning walk was our introduction to Tiger Tail Beach. Heard shell fragments made bare foot walking difficult but we had our walking sandals. The sand is beautifully white and stretches for miles. From touching sand to waters edge is a good hike but this sand is very walk-able. Hard packed near water makes for a very scenic walk. The...
