This beach has a new eating and restroom area and is very well maintained. The reason I say hidden is because you have to walk through a bit of a pass with water to your hips to get to the pretty area. This keeps it from becoming over populated and full of small children. It's quiet and can be secluded... More

Beautiful weather, and not many tourists at all! Had to walk a good bit to get to the beach from where we parked. There were almost no waves you could go out so deep into the water and we found so many beautiful shells! My favorite beach I've ever visited!

We walked on the beach to Tiger Tail. It is quite a haul!! I didn't think the beach was that amazing, it is pretty and shells but not as spectacular as I imagined. To walk from the beach to the street/food area is quite far. Take water with you to hydrate.

If you are headed to Tigertail for a day at the beach, park near the new dune crossover at the south end of the parking lot. The County has constructed a new restroom and handicap accessible boardwalk to make it more convenient for beachgoers. The parking lot after you enter the gate is paved. It is easy to think that... This beach is less touched by visitors allowing awesome shell collecting and wildlife observation. There is an $8 charge to park. There is a cool little playground for the kiddos. After a few hot hours on the beach and wading across the lagoon, stop and have a bite to eat or some ice cream.

Not what we expected at all. Minimal beach service for chairs and toys....sand was nasty. Traversing to the "good beach" was a challenge carrying equipment for the day.....ok adventure if you're up for it. We prefer the ammenities at the hotels with comfortable lounge chairs, margaritas within reach and clean sandy beaches. Take your choice.

Tigertail beach on Marco Island is just oh so beautiful and scenic, complete with Marco's complete cross section of diversity of natural resources. The flora and fauna are well represented. The birds. The turtles. BOBCATS(!) and more fidler crabs than you can count. Everything you CAN'T see (that sees you), the flowers, and mangrove trees. The shells! Oh, the shells!... More

What a great location! Park near the cafe and walk across the lagoon. It was a few minute walk, not quite up to our waist, in very warm water. Then a walk through a trail littered with crabs that go scurrying as you walk buy. The noise they made was amazing. Beautiful birds. Walked about 20 minutes north up the... More

Absolutely beautiful beach - read the positive reviews on here and dismiss the negative drivel! If your after warm clear sea, white sand , uncrowded space, fantastic wildlife then this is the beach. Most of the negative comments are what I would view as real positives - the walk across the lagoon ( my 9 year old loved it and... More

We visited on Saturday 16th August. Bearing in mind it was a Saturday afternoon there were about 12 other people. Beautiful white beach, clear ocean. Definitely worth crossing the lagoon (not as bad as others described). What completed our day was a school of about 6 dolphins coming in within about 50 yards from where we were standing in the...
