Recently we stayed in a house on Marco Island near the north end of Tigertail Beach. We accessed the beach through Tigertail Beach Park. The park was nice and had a pretty little lagoon, rentals for use in the lagoon, a little snack bar that serves lunch and restrooms. It was very nice and we enjoyed a beer or two... More

we enjoyed visiting the beach with the family. The beach is lovely with white sand , shallow waters for the kids to play. we had taken beach umbrellas and balls and so spent the full morning enjoying - swimming, playing , picking shells .. Beware of the broken shells strewn all along the shoreline.

First let me start by saying, when u park your car at Tigertail, keep going as far as u can! The parking lot looks like it ends, but go to the left and the lot will continue! This will bring u closer to the beach!! The bathrooms are also located here! The walk from here to the water's edge is... More

The beach is a bit of a hike from the parking lot. You need a cart or something to carry your chairs, cooler, etc. as it is over 2000 steps. It is worth the trek and a good idea to take a lunch with you so you can just enjoy and stay awhile.

It's a nice park, clean area with restroom facilities! Large beach for frisbee or shot put! Lots of shells and birds! Views are amazing! Long walk to the beach!

Went and had lunch after time on Tigertail beach. Had visited last year and loved it. The fish was new on the menu with homemade tartare sauce which was extremely good. Great to see standards still as high and really enjoyed it. We will go back.

We took our kids here on a nice sunny day in Jan. this time of year the water is quite cold. But the beach had nice sand and lots of shells which the kids loved to look for. Bring your own lunch or snacks as there are no venders close by. They do have places to rent umbrellas or chairs,... More

First find a parking spot, then pay the $8, and then wade thru the stream. But once you're on the beach it is amazing. And probably the best shelling on the island. Try to get there either within an hour of low tide or right at low tide for the best shelling. Be sure to take water to drink. This... More

We really enjoyed our morning at Tigertail beach. We followed the signs to wade across the water to the "spit". It was higher than knee deep, but we rolled our shorts up and went on tippy toes through the deepest part. Easy. Walked about 5 miles along the spit, found beautiful shells and had a wonderful time. The day was... More

Although you have to pay to enter the park, the beach is worth the fee. Go a half hour before low tide and take the marked "path" through knee-deep water across to the "spit" for great shelling. If you stay too long and don't want to wade back because the tide has come in, you can walk around to "shore"... More
