So natural; not bustling with tourists. Bird life, manatees, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing -- it's all here without the crowds.

Have visited this beach several times and each time it is different. If you are into shelling, Sanibel doesn't have anything over Tigertail. Amazing sunsets, not to be missed. Large variety of shorebirds as well for bird lovers.

It's a nice beach and there are quite a few facilities including a playground, but it's a LONG walk to the actual beach part if you want to hang on the gulf. There is a little lagoon and an island with lots of birds and wildlife. We saw real flamingos and fish that jumped out of the water! It was... More

Love the remote beauty and wildlife/birds. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the view or purchase a tasty lunch from the beach hut. The facilities are excellent and if you are into watersports, they have rentals of all sorts of boards, small boats, kyacks, etd.

Overall a nice beach to go to once you actually get there. you have two choices to get to the beach, either walk through the lagoon or walk all the way around it. We walked all the way around since we had a total of 5 small children with us. It was maybe about a 10-15 min walk to get... More

This beach is at the North end of the Island...west side. The entrance is at the end of Spinnaker Dr and Hernando Dr. Parking is 8$. There are 6 walkway/piers to enter the beach area. One and two are the closest to the Gulf. 6 is for Handicapped Persons. It is a little hike. There is a nice play area... More

I had heard that this was a great beach. We had been to a public beach the day before with paid parking (this was a new concept to me), but no pubic restrooms. After I paid my 8 bucks to park at Tigertail, and passed a little restaurant, deck, and public restrooms, I was pleased that these facilities were available.... More

It was a hot day in June but crossing the lagoon by foot in low tide is part if the fun. Beautiful beach, great shells and bird watching. Well kept state park. Your visit to Marco Island wouldn't be complete if you don't go to Tigertail Beach

We went and checked out tigertail beach while on our honeymoon. It was beautiful. If you're looking to find some good shells visit tigertail and you won't be disappointed.

If you are trying to get to Marco Island beach ocean side then do not go to Tigertail beach. I was so disappointed but in retrospect if I knew before we arrive I would have been prepared and would have found one of the other well hidden public accesses to the ocean side beach. Tigertail beach could be a fun... More
