Once you park (there seemed to be more parking here then most others beaches We'd visited), there is a playground, then a board walk to a lagoon. You have to wade across the lagoon to get to the amazing beach. The walk is not too far but a bit of a pain if you're carrying a lot of stuff, so... More

Wow...........talk about peace and quiet. We were one of only about 10 other groups of people on a large stretch of the beach. We tried to go to South beach, but there were roadworks on th car parking area so couldn't, but we are really glad. Tigertail was pure tranquility, the kids loved that you could walk out a long... On the lagoon side, the water is very calm and low. Perfect for families with young children. Even has a playground. We went during high tide to kayak out to Sand Dollar Spit. Staff at rental shack were very helpful and informative. There were several people learning how to use the different boards available!

This is a very interesting beach. Fist; It's less crowed than the Southern end of the beach. After you park and pay your $8. "Make sure you have exactly $8. No change giving." You come to a nice park and play area. Then you walk to the beach and is confronted with a lagoon. You have 2 options. You can walk... More

Crossing the Lagoon to get to the gulf is a Fun experience, water is about waist deep at low tide. Wonderful shelling and absolutely Beautiful views! My family's most favorite place!

Tiger tail has hidden treasures! I always find sand dollars and beautiful seashells there. Also the ocean is beautiful as well as the white sand beaches.

There really isn't a need to pay and then trek for what seemed like miles they say half a mile) only to be on a beach no nicer than any others. The food was so ridiculously expensive (6.50 for a hot dog!) that I wanted to go back to the airport to get a better priced meal. That's a shame.

This is a beautiful long thin beach. We walked there in the morning before the heat of the day. Tons of shells (many broken) and open space that is not right in front of condos or hotels like the other beaches on the island. Gives you the feel of being isolated from the rest of the island. Great for sitting... More

We adore Marco Island. Have been going there since 1985 but have never been a fan of Tigertai Beach. No good sand, dirty and water is not clean. It's a great place to go for a nature walk but not to swim. They have a nice refreshment stand and playground. What we like to do is go across the water... More

This is one of the 2 public beaches of marco island and I was very excited to see it. I got there early Saturday morning to have a walk and look for shells. It took me 30 min to drive there from naples. The beach is actually a state park. They charge $8 to park. I was told it was... More
