This was quite an experience. There are kayaks and big wheeled beach bikes and lots of beach and water to keep you busy for hours. There is a water walk way to get you from the main beach where you arrive and park to a secluded area where you can fish swim kayak or simply sit in a chair and... More

We went on a overcast day in November around 3pm. We were told we would find amazing shells and sand dollars. The good shells must have already been picked over and we found one sand dollar. We had better luck the day before at the public beach. There are a billion shells but not really great ones. It is a... More

The initial sanctuary is nice for bids but if you walk out (hint, park in farthest parking lot and take farthest Boardwalk 6, you can find the white sand beach and can shell. We walked the beach around the wetland and could experience mangroves close up, bird.ife, piles and piles of shells, unique. Have to pay $8 to enter the... More

We stayed in a house 1/2 block from this beach. Great beach for shelling. Long beach and can walk a long ways.

We walked the Tiger Tail. It took us 2.5 hours. It was a great walk. Very interesting seeing the wildlife. Tips I would give is that you have to make sure you go at the right time because you don't want to get caught when the tide comes in........otherwise you will be waist deep. If you are doing the full... More

This is the coolest! When you go in, study the map. We hiked to the far end which is a birding santuary. It is so good to get away from Marco Island's high rises and experience nature. I found a variety of shells, including sand dollars. Very few go the full route, so there is plenty of peace, quiet and... More

We parked (€88 without a pass) had a drink and used the toilets (clean) before a walk to the beach. We discovered that at this point the beach is on a kind of inlet, not on the actual shore, there are water sports such as pedalos here and you can wade over to the other side or go round. We... More

Beach has a bit of everything. Just the history embodied in the beach that is made out of millions of years of shells and sea life was very cool. There is a nature preserve in the middle with all sorts of birds, fish, manatee, dolphins...... Shelling is "phenomenal" according to my wife and son, the shell masters. Walk the whole... More

We were staying at the Marriott and decided to walk to the tip of Tiger tail one cloudy morning. This is not a review of the parking area or facilities for Tigertail but if the beach itself. It's a pretty long walk to the end and at one portion, you take a small path since the ocean comes right up... More
